'I think the red card for Mikel John Obi in that game should not have been a red card, I think that Paul Scholes should have had a red card on Sunday and Wigan a penalty also. But it is finished. I congratulate Manchester United.'

Is Avram ever really going to get over it and move on?? Give him some cheese with his whine please somebody!

Balotelli: I Feel Nothing For Inter

Teenage wonderkid Mario Balotelli is looking increasingly likely to leave Inter Milan after a sensational statement in which he declared that he feels nothing for the club.

The 17-year-old Balotelli is widely seen as one the most best young talents in world football, and he has burst onto the Serie A scene this season, making 11 appearances and scoring three goals.

Balotelli’s current deal at San Siro runs out in 2010 and he earns just €60,000 a season. The forward has been in talks over a new and improved deal, but negotiations have not gone well at all, with the youngster said to be unhappy with the financial terms he has been offered.

The outspoken Balotelli has already come out in the press threatening to quit the club, not only if his contract is not improved, but if he is not given a first team place next season.

However in a shocking declaration, Balotelli may have just signed his own exit papers out of the club after admitting that he feels nothing for Inter.

"I do not feel for Inter inside," the Gazzetta dello Sport has reported Balotelli as saying.

It is speculated that this statement may be a ploy to try and get Inter to equal the wages that Alexandre Pato earns at Milan, which is €1.2m a year.

However whether the Nerazzurri will be willing to keep him following these damning statements remains to be seen. Chelsea and Manchester United are both ready to pounce.

Surely we have to make a play for him since we missed out on Pato at the start of the season, Dos Santos signed for Tottenham andAguero decided against making the move after our bid was accepted.. If any player goes to Inter we should ask Mourinho for him in return.

More tactically aware then the rest. I would of chosen Lippi but he cant speak English and has shown an interest not to learn, so yeah agree the best option for what was available.

Yes and Paulo Ferreira to play on the left every game from now on :)

I thought some of them would have known but Carvalho has come out and said he had no idea.

I think he should stay. We have a settled backline going into next season. Cole, Bridge (new contract), Terry, Carvalho, Alex, Ivanovic, Bosingwa, Ferreira, Belletti. Out goes Ben Haim.

Not sure what he is going to do up the field but I'm pretty sure there'll be a few changes. Chelsea fans don't seem to want Deco - not sure why. I think he will come.

Well its that time of year where anyone and everyone is being linked with Chelsea, it looks as though Deco to Chelsea will happen but realistically who else do you see making a move to Chelsea?

i know he's good but i effing hate him, deep down i hope he doesnt come to the bridge, will be very hard to cheer for him. As for other signings i doubt we'll get any of the players we(I) ;) really really want.

Here’s how I see it bro.

Realistic and possible in’s – (probability of leaving alongside players name)

Deco – 90% - the 10% is because of Inter’s interest. He is leaving Barca though and Chelsea does want him.

Villa – 15% - it’s likely he’ll leave Valencia and there are only about 3 or 4 clubs able to pay an acceptable price to Valencia. Chelsea are one of those clubs. Reason their percentage is not 20% is that he seems to prefer the other clubs wanting to sign him ahead of Chelsea.

Quaresma – 40% - this link hasn’t been around as much as I thought it would. And I don’t think Scolari will want too many Portuguese players. However he needs a player like Quaresma and Quaresma is probably the best of what’s available. Nothing to do with having managed him before although I guess it does help. Watch out for Inter here as well though. Although Jose never really signed a player like him during his time at Chelsea (he used them – didn’t sign them). I’d like to see him at Chelsea. And please relegate that imposter Joe Cole to the el bencho.

Ronaldinho – 40% - If Chelsea want him I think he’s theirs. Milan are probably still interested but if Roman and Big Phil decide to go after him then he’ll probably be playing there next season.

Robinho - 15% - Tough one here. I'm not sure Real Madrid will sell him unless it's to Manchester United for Ronaldo. which looks likely. if there's another player involved in the Ronaldo transfer (Sneijder, Ramos) then he may stay - in that case I doubt Real Madrid would sell him.

Other Strikers….

Not sure who?

Aguero – 10% - very unlikely that Atletico will sell for a second season in a row. Chelsea could really use his magic though.

Eto’o – 25% - still possible. Looks to heading to Italy but surely Chelsea are interested. As swap deal involving Drogba would be perfect for both clubs.
Henry playing off Drogba up front? You wouldn’t get better than that anywhere else in the world. Well…. It sort of depends on just what Henry has left.
Eto’o and Shevchenko? Interesting.

Berbatov - 30% chance he goes to Chelsea, 20% he stays with Tottenham and a ½ shot he’s at Manchester United next season.

Possible Outs –

Drogba – 65% - I had it at about 90% before but who knows? If none of the clubs he wants to sign for don’t want him then he might stay. That’s looking possible.

Lampard – 90% - It looks like he wants to leave and Chelsea respect him and they’ll let him leave. Good on him for wanting a new challenge.

Alex – 40% - Nothing’s been said about it but will he want to sit on the bench for the big games again this season and only play when one of Terry or Carvalho are injured or rested? Not sure. Interesting to see if he’s at Chelsea next season. He probably wants a talk with the new manager first.

Sidwell – 99% - He won’t be at Chelsea next season and it looks like his new club will be Aston Villa. Good luck to him. Obviously.

Ben Haim – 92.5% - Nothing much has been said but he isn’t good enough for Chelsea and I don’t think Scolari will see things any differently to Grant.

Bridge – 55% - There’s only so much of sitting on the bench most of the time one can put up with. There’s a good chance he might ask to leave as well.

Boularhouz – 75% - ¾ in chance really. Scolari might like him, who knows? Very unlikely though. He isn’t good enough to start or even play semi-regularly for a top club.

Ferreira – 25% - He won’t be first choice right back again and one wonders if he wants a new challenge and to play somewhere else where he’ll play every week. A few decent clubs would buy him as well. I can imagine clubs like Aston Villa, Manchester City and the likes being very interested. As they should be. He’s a good defender. Offers little going forward though. I suspect he’ll stay though.

Belletti – 30% - Who knows? With the money he’s on he might be content as a second/third choice right back. Then again – a few lower clubs in Spain would probably love to have him. Interesting to see whether Belletti is with Chelsea next season.

Makelele – 35% - He was inconsistent last season. Same old Makelele in some games, quite poor in many others. He nearly left Chelsea at the end of last season. I don’t think he’ll be content with rarely playing either, especially not in the big games. Playing in the big games was probably the only thing that kept him satisfied last season.

Malouda – 30% - I don’t think he’ll leave but it’s possible. New manager and a chance to prove a point and sort of start fresh. A bit like starting a new relationship with your girlfriends younger cousin. It’s definitely possible though. There were several rumours around in January that he’d be leaving. And I don’t know whether Scolari rates him or not. Probably not if he saw him play, even once last season. (after the Charity Shield match) He might want a move back to France but I think he’ll stay with Chelsea.

SWP - 45% - He said that he wanted to stay recently but he should realise that under any manager he'll never be deemed good enough at Chelsea because he isn't. Just doesn't have the technical ability and football smarts to be consistent, productive and successful with a challenging club.

Shevchenko – 50% - This one is really 50/50. If Scolari believes in him, then he’ll stay. I’d love to see him do well and get a fair and equitable chance. (unlike last season)

Pizarro – 50% - Who knows? If he’s not going to play, he’ll probably want to leave and someone (probably in Germany) will buy him.

----

important points to note -

Chelsea want a slightly smaller squad than last season I think.

the more players who leave, the more chelsea will sign. it'll probably be about an even spread.

look for Chelsea to sign some quality 18/19 year old's around the place. Scolari knows what he's doing and he'll be able to attract quality young Brazilian talent.

I don't disagree with much of what you've written however I object your comment about kudos to Lampard for wanting a new challenge.

If Lampard is going he's almost certainly going to go to Inter. Lampard was made into a world class player in Mourinho's system, he was consistent and solid under Ranieri and he was outshone by Ballack under Grant and he hasn't really been stunning for England. Mourinho's system is where Lampard has shone, and if he's going he's going to run back to Mourinho, sure he's going to a new league but I don't really think he warrants extra respect due to wanting a new challenge. It seems to me he's chasing Mourinho since he knows the midfield will be based around him and his deflected goals if he does go to Inter. I'd like to see how he does under Scolari.

Lampard is a two time England player of the year. So he hasn't performed for quite a while in an England shirt. Neither has Rooney (especially) or Gerrard (1 in every 10 games he plays really well - usually against very weak opposition).

Lampard was injured through much of last season and as such his production can't be compared. Although it was still notably good.

He had one period of the games he did play (under Grant) where he was excellent, the rest of the time he was decent. Sometimes average.

Your stuff about Mourinho's system isn't really fair. Lampard was the one scoring the goals, driving Chelsea and setting up his teammates, he was the one with the tremendous workrate. His ability and impact hasn't changed under either of the three Chelsea managers he played under. He's been injured a bit lately and not played as much. That's the only difference.

And with that you've said - some of it is just ridiculous. Based around him and his deflected goals? he's scored seven in his career. That argument is tired, old and really stupid.

What about Scholes? he's scored about twice in the last three seasons.

As for Ballack - he's a better player than Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes etc. it's common sense for him to outperform them.

To suggest a system made Lampard a world class player is ridiculous and rude. So Scholes playing under Ferguson's system his WHOLE CAREER? catered to him. Just ridiculous. If a player is brilliant and performs brilliantly give the player the credit he deserves. Don't make arguments to criticise and try and justify that criticism.

Lampard is a world class player. The best goalscoring central midfielder of the last five years.

And your suggestion that he doesn't warrant respect for going to a different league, country and team away from his comfort zone at Chelsea is obviously wrong. Good on him for taking on the challenge and not spending his whole career with one team, in one league (which deserves respect to equal measures - but since you're taking respect away from Lampard for wanting a change in scenery and to test himself in a totally different football culture - then perhaps Ferguson, Scholes, Giggs and Keane are all poor excuses for footballers to afraid to test themselves away from their comfort zone at Manchester United?

His attitude on the field is better than any other top rated, superstar England player. So little to criticise him for. He's a model footballer. More than can be said for Ferdinand, Rooney, Terry and Gerrard. Doesn't abuse referees, isn't a dirty player, doesn't mouth off to opposition and conducts himself with class obviously unavailable to his English teammates. He is not in the least bit selfish and Inter's midfield won't be made around him, as the Chelsea midfield never was. That doesn't even make sense. Why is it true? Because someone on the internet said it once?
The midfield works for each other. Everyone has a different function and role. Like at any team.

Sorry mate but your post 490 was just terrible. Not one thing representing anythingeven close to the truth.

Agree that Drogba is likely to go but hope he doesn't, at times during the season it would not have bothered me if he did go, but now i really hope he stays as he has been so important to us and there is not a great deal of quality strikers on the market and as A/C pointed out the percentage of them coming to Chelsea is not that high.

Lampard has done all he can for Chelsea and could still do more but i agree the bloke needs a new challenge and i would not hold it against him if he decided to move.

Would love to get Quaresma apart from any other player at the moment, probably apart from Kaka (he is my manlove and has been for a long time, watching him rip apart Man Utd over 2 legs still gets my juices flowing but hey thats a different story)

Agree with pretty much everything you said A/C but still think you are a bit harsh on J.Cole, but thats just me.

Blues Nab Another Teenage Talent

Chelsea have added another wonderkind to their multi-national academy in completing the signing of Portuguese starlet Aliu Djalo, better known as 'Kaby'.

The Blues have moved quickly to head off interest from a number of rivals with the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich credited with an interest in the 17-year-old, who is rated among the most exciting youngsters in Portugal.

“An attacking midfielder joining us from Portugal where he has played for the junior national team. Technically very good,” according to CFC academy manager Neil Bath.

Kaby, who was born in Guinea, has a Portuguese passport and has arrived in West London on a deal that could net Boavista up to £5 million depending on future appearances.

Kaby now joins Vincenzo Camilleri, Jacopo Sala, Aldi Haxhia, Sam Walker, Tom Hayden, Jeffrey Bruma, Conor Clifford and Frank Nouble as full-time scholars at Stamford Bridge for the first time next season.

I remember being linked with this kid before jose was fired. it was suposed to have ruined our chances of signing him. Had a look on youtube of him and another guy playing around with the ball and he has a good bag of tricks. lets hope he is a high quality investment for the future. lokks like apollo is already starting to be proven right. except he is 17. i'll pay it still.

what's Scolari's preferred formation?

from what I've read - he seems to prefer an attacking 4-3-3 with fast wingers.

in that case.... they'll need to sign some players.

and if they do intend to play that way (and I have no idea) then one of Deco, Essien, Ballack and Lampard won't be first choice.

the problem for Chelsea re; Robinho. Manchester United will be aware of this and if there's any chance of Ronaldo leaving, they'll have already/will say to Real Madrid - sell him to Chelsea and there's no Ronaldo.

so really, Chelsea's chances of signing Robinho depend on Real Madrid signing Ronaldo.

and not to mention - Real Madrid won't want to sell him unless they have Ronaldo either.

and if Real Madrid do sign Ronaldo then Manchester United would most likely ask for Robinho + $$.

So, in summary - I don't like Chelsea's chances of signing Robinho.

i'm not too sure on Scolari's tactical preferences either.

All i know is that it is going to be tough to keep everyone happy unless they make some sales. I have a feeling the word "unsettled" may be associated with a lot of Chelsea players this season as Scolari makes his mark.
