Think Cachia lacks the class to cut it, so no surprise there. Dare does disappoint as I felt he had some real X factor but just not able to put it together often enough for long enough. Casboult lucky for mine.

Agree thought he was ordinary during VFL finals series.

Not an out and out dud amongst that group.
I also think Dare must have been a tough one. Still think this kid may come back into the system.

Strange though that Casboult isn't there. Change of mind, maybe?

Dare's the only one who looked possible, and I suspect he'll get another stab at the big time via a VFL list, like Silvagni/Faulks. Twomey is a smart VFL-level player and not much more.

Cachia might get somewhere someday via a VFL list, but he can always have a magic act sawing Ben Nason in half.

Carter would really hope he strings a whole lot of games together next year.

Blake Bray has a good 3rd tall forward size about him, have seen close to nothing of him though and will be interesting to see how he progresses next year in the Northern Blues!

Twomey might decide to go back to his higher paying job as a sparkie(?). Loved the Twomb Raider's work though.

Joey Dare is the one I'm the most sad about, the guys at the club really liked him and he's the kind of guy you want around your club. Good luck to him in the future!

I recall Dare was relatively highly rated in his draft year (30-60 or something along those lines). Too bad stuff didn't work out. Good luck and thanks to all.

I agree. Thought he could actually become a pretty good player. Could probably put it down to the fact that we have too many players who are similar to him.

Anyone know if we've done this so that we can just recruit him back on to the rookie list again, for whatever reason (never really understood how the rookie list works).

Actually we had no players like him.
He has a good football brain, but just too one-dimensional in general play.
Had a slow and long turning circle and can really only run a straight line.
Not enough tricks for the AFL.

Sorry, similar build*

Armfield, Scotland, Duigan, Carrazzo, Tuohy are all defenders (or those who have spent time there) with similar builds to Twomey.

Twomey - thought he did enough to deserve at least another year

Cachia - can understand, like him alot but never really dominated any game

Dare - really tough, don't know what more he could have done. Reads the play really well and is composed under preasure, just his disposal lets him down

Cant see why Casbolt is getting negs in here.

We dont exactly have a dearth of KPF types, and he hasnt been going all that bad from reports. Slow but steady progress.

Particularly with Waite and Setanta getting on (and Ohailpin requesting a trade) I wouldnt be happy with the club delisting him at all.
