What if they don't deem Winderlich as unproven?

Even his biggest fans would have to say he is unproven at senior level. Lets face it although he was definately on the up before his last injury he still wasnt a shoe in for our best 22.

I'm not talking about his fans.

I'm talking about Brisbane Football Club.
Different club, different fit. They could very well deem what he's done as enough to earn a gig in their 22.

Fremantle, nor their fans thought McPhee had a place in their best 22.

They don't really have a midfielder of his type, nor do we for that matter. And for that reason, I hope he stays.

I have no doubt that if Winders has a injury free season...he would to us what Fletcher and Kerr are to West Coast. I definitely rate him...right up there with Stanton when he's on his game.

Kerr is a superstar. Top 10 in the league quality. Winders won't get near that level, and i'm a big fan of him.

Hard to measure that when he hasnt played a full season of football.

Which makes it equally as hard to compare him to Kerr.

Or Stanton for that matter.

"IF" he were to have.....I think he has the speed, endurance at the very least...and his disposal is pretty clean from what Ive seen of him. True, it might be a big call..but given the right amount of luck and opporunity, Id argue that we'd have another champion in the middle.

I want to agree with you, I'm a huge fan.

I think the bloke is a very important part of our side and will have a big role in the club going forward. But he still has a lot to prove.

I agree, and it all needs to fall in his favour fast with the influx of youth coming through our ranks at a rate of knots. Id made up my mind about him in that final game where the team drove the ball in relentlessly to Lloyd to help him achieve a third Coleman Medal (unsuccessfully as history tells us) against the Doggies. He'll come good....have always had a good feeling about him

what players from other clubs are out of contract. i think kade simpson is out of contract. if he decided to go, and we got him in the PSD that would be exceptional, along with some new players from the draft weve made over our midfield. what players would you guys look to get from the PSD

I wouldn't put Fletcher and Kerr in the same package. Kerr is the player that gets all the hard ball gets, breaks tackles and sets up the rest of the midfield unit.

Fletcher runs along the outside of the packs, picks up easy possessions and disposes poorly. I hope that winders ends up better then him!

I can't see Kade Simpson leaving Carlton. Polak's name is always getting thrown around, he has a lot of potential and maybe Sheeds can turn him around the way he did for McPhee, although some say his head isn't always screwed on straight, I don't know the full story there

It would need to be a big turnaround.. Wouldnt want to give too much for him, rather keep Kep then trade him for Polak which has been mentioned.

Well, thats his role and he kicks some goals along the way also.

If we can snare Aker and Rischitelli at the trade table, and grab Gibbs in the draft I'll be pretty happy. That will bolster our midfield considerably for next year and for the future. That's not a bad scenario imho, but naturally it's not the only one and if we end up with a Gumbleton or Hansen that also sounds pretty good.

Rischitelli is not far from re-signing with the lions from all reports. We would want a fairly decent trade for him as he is becoming a very important player in our midfield.

Pls do not mention Winderlich and Kerr in the same breath infact he wouldn't b half the player Fletcher is and he sure as hell is not at the same level as Stants who is a gun

YET! I have faith in the kid that he'll become something. Give it time and worry about your own side in the meantime.

Thank god for Leo Barry aye mate! If he wasnt there Seaby would have swallowed that ball and most likely goaled. Then you wouldnt make smararsed comments like that would you because in the 72 years between your last 2, we have won more than youve ever won.

Oh and lets noy forget the fact we still play in Melbourne:)
