I was a bit disappointed, had Yeats in the office sweep so felt pretty confident but he didn't run so well. Very happy to see Pop Rock place, I always go for the horse that Damien Oliver rides so was cheering him home(over Yeats!) all the way, just got pipped!

Had a ripping day.

$10 on Delta Blues. And got the trifecta. Close to $1400 return. Got done on a few other races, but cleared $1000 for the day. For a very occasional punter, this is not bad I reckon. Should have seen the blokes in the local TAB doing their balls when I rocked in and collected. Surprised they didn't follow me out.

Im like you re Ollie....I knocked my coffee over cheering for him It almost the fairytale and whilest at the time its disapointing looking at it now I couldnt be more happier
To go from being out for 15-18 months with a serious back injury to a wisker of a Melboune Cup with a ride like that is a great effort. When you think about it he has done Aussie Racing proud!

Some were starting to think he hasnt been the same since the fall but this race could be the catalyst

Next year will be Ollie's year - watch this space

well i was right in my thinking delta blues > pop rock... little did i know it would be in that order...
got myself even with a place bet on delta blues at 6-1 but lost on tawqeet (what went wrong here, poorly ridden i thought, but did go backwards in the straight)... and i nearly hit the tri in missing delta blues!!!

anyway polar bear got me up for the day, and after a boring exam in the morning happy to walk with some cash

Went to my first Cup today...backed the first race winner. Got sh*t on the rest of the day. Didn't care! By far the best race day socially. A much older and civilised crowd who respect the day and dont get magotted and start blues.

All the little japanese chicks about in kimono's should have given me a sign what was about to happen but was a great race and result. Ollie might have won if PR stayed straight. Great sportsmanship congratulating the japanese jockey after the post.

I boxed all 7 and had Efficient scratched which left me with 6 ''live'' runners..read both posts again

2 Delta Blues connections say he will be better then pop rock in the melbourne cup, will appreciate the step up in distance, i believe he is overs at 12-1

12 Pop Rock (JPN) eye catching run in the cc, has a winning chance, but i prefer delta blues.
