One thing Matt wasn’t was a flight risk, he moved over here to play shield cricket, was working at east Perth colts as their fitness guy when he retired then ended up back in Melbourne for the bulldogs job.

He is great but the world is full of greats in that role - perhaps its an opportunity to improve - oh yes the AFL caps - an anchor on progress

That's a simplistic way of looking at it.
We didn't have anywhere near as many injuries as previously.

The problem was, they were all to our good players.

Yeo who was never going to Adelaide or back to Brisbane. He seems to have been good. Hope he stays. If he doesn't maybe its time to push for compo from the team taking him as he's contracted. Would Essendon bump up there offer for Ryan if we let Innes walk?

They should have injected the players with Viagra instead of peptides, that might have hardened them up.

Ryan's trade and Innes are two separate issues.

Can't see Essendon being charitable to us when a lot of their players want out.
Nor should they.

Definitely Innes’ fault that Waterman dislocated his shoulder in a marking contest and required a reconstruction.

Its only because of need in this case, he's quite happy with the Eagles. If he was from WA and working in Vic, it would reverse and he would be coming here. Its not a vAFL thing.
