I suspect this is a bit tongue in cheek given he’s dead but I recall Priddis crediting Barber for helping him to get to the level he did by training to assist patterns to exit stoppage which was a key to Priddis’ success; he wasn’t quick but he could find space in congestion. I wonder if he could pass some of those learnings on to our current crop. Sometimes the best coaches are those that had to work the hardest to achieve success.
The club should be getting Priddis in on a part time basis to pass on some of that knowledge to slow coaches like Hall.

Soo....when are we gonna start doing something? Essendon poaching our fitness bloke, Carlton making heads of footy changes, Saints signing and chasing a million players, Brisbane continuing to add to their riches in player depth with free agent commitments...while we sit around with our thumb up our ass and continue to hemorrhage assistant coaches and staff.
There's still 8 teams playing which is where we want to be recruiting off field appointments from.

Woosha has gone to work at last and it looks like some of the people being let go are being held accountable for the clubs failure over the last 3-4 yrs
I am glad we are having a thorough cleanout of positions that we can improve.
Woosha certainly has and it takes strong people to bring this club back to where it should be, can't wait for what else is in the wind.

Who else do they need to get rid of ? Players and or staff .

Not sure on the coaches department but if M Duncan is coming in a development role I would be moving on Brennan or Trewhella.
I don't know their skills but reducing the amount of extra coaches and bringing in the best and paying them more would be a better formula to retain and attract the best.
Players to depart will determine who is gettable through the trade period.
If we are very successful and get 4 players through trade we should be paying out Barnett and keeping Livingstone, next would be Johnstone imo.

From 10 News - 'Less than a week after getting the sack from Melbourne, Simon Goodwin has been linked to a role with West Coast. The Eagles already making changes to their coaching department with Luke Webster departing this week and are expected to add some experience around Andrew McQualter...'

How are they going to pay him. Maybe in brown paper bags ?
Probably helps he would likely still get paid out from the Eagles for next year.

Will be interesting to see who else we get linked to. Didn’t the soft cap go up $750k?

Going from McQualters boss to McQualters minion would be an interesting dynamic

Would explain why we blindsided a contracted Schofield by pushing him out the door unexpectedly (to him)

McQualter when asked about Goodwin after he’d been sacked by Melbourne was full of praise for him and said he’d welcome him to the club. Said he had a good relationship with him and respected his football knowledge

Not sure how I feel on that if it happens as I wasn’t particularly a fan of Goodwin as coach, but it would be a sign that McQualter is having a big say in the composition of his coaching panel

We’ve already brought in a guy from the Dees, not sure it’s the best idea to bring in another one given how terribly they are going.
It sure would be a big gamble by the club.

If he had a choice he would have stayed but they didn't want him. Had he underperformed in his role.

No idea what you’re talking about here. It was clearly his choice to go, not the club’s.

That explains the interest in Hollands :p

Having listened to him on Before the Footy on 91.3fm he was blindsided by the club, He had a year left on his contract and he didn't say it was his choice to go. Have a listen to it and tell me if i'm wrong

I thought we were talking about Innes.
