Just what we needed. Our most consistant player out for the year
Just give Green the captaincy now, i thought it would be interesting to see the 2 try to prove themselves to get the captaincy next year, but that's gone now, which is disappointing

TENACIOUS Melbourne midfielder Brock McLean is set to miss the rest of the 2008 season after sustaining a serious left ankle injury during Sunday's thrilling one-point win over the Brisbane Lions at the MCG.
"He saw the specialist very late yesterday afternoon and he needs surgery, which he'll have on Friday to repair ligaments," Melbourne football operations manager Ross Monaghan told melbournefc.com.au.
"That'll mean the recovery period is longer than a couple of months, so he won't be playing again this season, which is disappointing.
"Scans on Monday showed that he injured the ankle a bit more severely than first thought, so he needs surgery."

All the best for a speedy recovery Brock. Here's hoping Valenti can step up in his absence and show that he's worth persisting with next season and beyond.
