You would think after we copped the Moraes call

Getting in early on Greeves is better management
Moraes did not qualify under the rules. Hawthorn knew that pretty early and so did Moraes
Where is he likely to go (Draft position wise)?
A top 3 prospect

Trained with Hawthorn this preseason. Would be a huge get almost JUH proportions (in terms of public and media outcry) if we achieve as much as we plan to achieve this year.

Aside from the words 'the AFL will decide'

Dreaming I reckon.
They decide according to the rules and if he does have indigenous descent then there is nothing stopping him being part of our NGA similar to the beast as he will be playing for eastern this year

Absolutely no chance they sign it off. None.

We will be the bridge too far for this policy. The rort that cannot be tolerated.

If I were him (and I really wanted to get to Hawthorn, and who wouldn’t?), I would file a complaint with the AFLPA or whatever organisation represents draftees. It’s not just Hawthorn getting screwed by a rejection, but him as well. How can the AFL possibly have the audacity to claim they can determine that he doesn’t have enough aboriginal blood in his veins to qualify for an NGA?

Any blood is enough blood. It is according to the government isn't it?

Would be fair play for Collingwood Geelong or Essendon to get him tho
