Up until half time things looked great as the eagles had the ascendancy. But then that all too familiar second half fade out due to poor skill execution and decision making. Same story as last week.

The positives:

Sampi gave his best for one half. Staker did well given opportunities and kicked 3 goals. Selwood I think did enough to earn his spot. Solid debut from Jones and Glass battled valiantly yet was hard done by by the umpire in the last 1/4.

The negatives:

Umpiring. Was heck i n g attrocious. Next time they better get it right! Poor effort by the umpires overall. Glass hard done by and Cousins also. The Dees got 2 goals from decisions that were not there in the view of any football fan.

Areas to work on:

Defence, relative to a few weeks ago has improved but it is not that clear simply because of the laclustre way we enter the forward line. Staker played his best game so far this year and Matera did OK to kick his 2 goals, lets face it the eagles did him no favours all day. Gasper, McDougall, Adkins better rectify their shooting on goals.

Players I would drop:

Adkins, Gasper, Green (given we have better replacements)

Margin at the end was dissapointing, it should of been under 3 goals.

Next Week:

We are hoping that Chick is back into the side. Selwood and Jones should stay in the side and Rowan should come back.
I still think we can get a much needed win vs the Swans who lost today.

Adkins will go straight out, green will prob be suspended, Gaspar by NO MEANS should he be dropped. Actually provided a target today and, along with Staker, actually took some contested marks inside 50. Work on his kicking and he looks good:)

His brain explosion will take care of that one. Did Kasey forget there are cameras?

Whoosha is in love with Green so im glad he finally took matters into his ownhands and should go for a week or two which is no skin off my nose.

Adkins will be dropped, he was deplorable. Gaspar to stay, week by week he is working himself into it.

Paul Johnson has to get a game this week. Doogs and Staker both played well but we really need someone to crash the packs and take a big contested mark and judging from his pre-season from he can definately do this

What I want to know is why did Woosha drag Adkins in after that indiscretion? It was clearly Greens fault.

Very ambitious assessment. He took one contested mark, a very good mark but still only one. He did not lead into right spots and he does not yet know how to hold his ground in one on one contest. Having said that he should not be dropped as there is nothing better to come in.

McDougall should be dropped once again for Seaby...

I dont know if you get to but there is no way known Johnson should get a game. His recent WAFL form has been deplorable, no where no how should he be rewarded for woeful WAFL play the last 3-4 weeks. He was good at the start of the year but i think hes kicked the bucket a bit cause he didnt get rewarded and is now languishing.

Doogs shouldnt be dropped, I thought he played quite well. Gaspar shouldnt be dropped either, he is getting better week in and week out.

Johnson from all reports cant take a contested mark anyway so why bring him in plus his WAFL form has only been so-so.

i think the eagles are to scared to kick to the tall option, gaspar is getting beter may be hansen can play ff. i think mcdougal looks better as a ruckman type likes running around a bit.

For the record Gasper had 7 possessions and two marks. One wa a great mark 35 meters out and thats it.

Gaspar struggled with everything. He did not look like the same player I have seen for two years. I feel his injuries have taken alot from him, which is sad. However, I still consider him player who could develop into a solid KPP for us.

We should just pack the forward line with 4 talls, sampi and matera...then play long ball like we're already doing. The more hands we have there the greater chance we've got of taking a much needed f**king mark. Our current forward set up is a complete and utter joke...the number of times inside 50s is not the problem...the score per entry is THE problem. Woosha needs to get his act together - if he doesn't have an idea then he should get somebody as assistant that DOES have an idea and get rid of useless 'yes men' ******s like Sumich.

It constitutes a clanger and thus he just assumed it was Adkins?

Either way, neither of them will be playing next week. Maybe we should get Green to badmouth the umpires for us while he's being stupid. I'm sure we've got $20,000 to spare.

As long as they rely on two dwarfs to be the main scoring options they will not go anywhere. They will win some games, like next week, but overall it will not work.
As for sacking Sumich, can someone please tell me what meaningful contribution Gepp makes?

True that, and equally true for Freo at the moment.

I would say similar not equal, whilst they are better served with talls at the moment they do have some other irregularly performing players including forwards. Also I think their Coach needs to be more proactive and quicker to address obvious anomaly's during a game.

"SACK SUMICH" you have to be joking Suma and Woosha are doing a great job. But I agree that the one who has to go is GEPP has far to much say in the coaches box. Not sure what hold GEPP has over the WCE Board but it was written into Woosha's contract that Gepp has to be on the Selection Committee and has to be in the Coaches Box on match day.
Get GEPP out of there and let Woosha, Suma & Booby do their job.

gaspar was as soft as today. we got pushed out of the contest way to easy... but i'd keep him in the team.

as for sacking sumich ?!? sumich is our midfield coach which is apparently our strongest asset..
