there's plenty of threads around, but I couldn't be bothered to go through them all and sort it out, but I'll give my thoguhts on today.
Darren Glass had a great game on Hall - I thought he was going to be a real vulnerable point, but it ended up being the man that was on O'Loughlin - simply no one could contain him.
Chad Fletcher too had a very poor game - easily his worst for the year, but unfortunately when he's playing so well it's bound for him to fall down.
Daniel Kerr's goal in the fourth term would have to be close to goal of the year.
We would've won if we didn't get off to such a slow start (sorry for stating the obvious.....)
We clearly struggled without Gardiner in the ruck, and our delivery into the forward 50 was shocking. Although it never is great, when Phil Matera is down there it seems to be the what he relishes - poor delivery, because he has more agility than your average player.
Troy Wilson didn't get great service but he didn't lead very well at all, and he's miss from right in front was a BIG kick in the guts. Sampi is obviousbly still a bit unsure of his own ability, because he would've probably slotted that goal from out on the boundary.
We definetaly need to learn to tackle harder and much more frequently.
Without need, I am bitterly disapointed but all is not lost. I don't know whether to be happy we're still within one win of being on top of the ladder, or disapointed that today's lost cost us from being on top.
After the match was pretty cool, getting to see all our boys up close and personal. Unforunately I didn't a chance to get any signatures or photographs or any of that stuff, but I've never been one for that anyway. and I never realised how tall Chris Judd was - on TV he lookes taller than the average midfielder, and he is 188cm, but i think he's probably close to another inch on top of that.
