The AFL's caveats of a roof on stadium in Hobart .. making it a deal breaker for broke ass Tasmania. Hobart traffic ain't great; no ferries on the derwent.

I thought the AFL were talking about a 20th team.

Teams 19 & 20 mean another game to broadcast.

Do the people at afl house know that Hobarts annual rainfall is less than Melbourne or Geelong. Why haven’t they insisted on putting a roof on kitty litter park and the MCG

They want the roof so they can hold other events as well.
But you're right, Tassie's weather is so misunderstood by mainlanders.

The Hobart stadium is only going to be 30k seat. There is no way $1b can be justified. Then again why did the AFL build a stadium for the Giants when they should’ve shared the SCG with the swans. They are always willing to spend other people money.

I think the AFL built GWS stadium west of Sydney to attract residents from Canberra. A lot of Canberrans are Giants fans.
 
afl games should come with a randomiser when a free kick is potentially paid, like a situation could be:

1. Play On
2. Holding The Ball
3. Push In The Back

then the game briefly pauses with a Crypto logo while it randomises, and a decision is made and the game continues.

Would make it more life-like

Sportsbet could run the randomiser and of course you'd be able to place bets on the result.

They really should just merge AFL and VFL squads. If a vfl player is good enough to play AFL, he should get a go. It would add more flexibility and pathways for junior, reduce the impact of bigger injury lists and create more competition for 1st team spots. Do it!
