Obviously all of us, except 1, want Port to get hammered. IMO the weather will have the major say on who wins this one.
Dry GF:
If it's dry I think Port will win easily. Their multitude of quick, receiver types will run The Cats off their legs. Port also have better talls than the Cats and this will be an imprtant factor if its a dry day. Playing King instead of Blake is a great move by the Cats. However, without Egan and with the underperforming N Ablett, Port have a hefty advantage in height. N Ablett will almost be a liability. The cats will have wished they got more gametime into the big bodied Hawkins as they will be undermaned in the big men department.
If its dry, Port by 27 points.
Wet GF:
Ports height advantage will be negated somewhat. Although, Geelongs runners are not as pacey as Ports, their runners are more in and under types which will be a huge advantage in these conditions. If it does rain, and I hope it does, the loss of Wilson will be huge. His hardness and aggression at the contest will be greatly missed. If it's wet, Geelong by 9 points.
Thoughts.
