Roast Be brave with ball movement

This conservative chip it around shit is getting us nowhere and will result in a limp September exit.

Take the game on, be bold, and get back to the footy that we were playing pre-bye.

Need Clark’s run in the back half

Not just his run but his BALLS to take on the challenge regardless of what's in front of him.

Exactly this. Our run from half back is virtually non existent. We continually persist with this slow, stagnant ball movement from our D50, chipping it around and then wondering why we can’t seem to move the ball forward and there are constant turnovers after allowing the opposition all the time in the world to set up in front of the ball. There’s no dare, no intensity, no creativity and it makes for an awful spectacle. It’s clear as day; the fans can all see it, the commentators have been banging on about it all day long and still there has been no apparent directive from the coaches box to try something different. Just banging our collective heads against a brick wall.

I think 2019 is teetering right on the edge, right now, for us.

If we don't hit back hard in this second half I think we're done for the year.

The stubborn refusal to address our ball movement is very counterproductive, and puzzling.

Can’t see us doing anything come sept. We don’t tap to advantage like just happened then, ball going fwd and all that was needed was a side tap to advantage but hawks did got it away goal.

This is what Scott wants. Tactical mastermind.

Knock Bomber for coaching a prelim loss in 2010 all you like, at least when we were good under him, we tried to play on our terms with a quick, offensive, daring brand of footy. Now we play slow and timid as if we're trying to protect a lead from the opening bounce. Any decent coach can stifle our movement from the back fifty with such ease that we will be destroyed again in September if it continues, and knowing Scott's track record, it will.

We played instinctive, aggressive GFC football (as in we had a system and we played THAT way) and it had us 11-1.
Since then we've played slow, reactionary football where we sit back on losing clearances and try to win it back and wait to see what the opposition will do before changing our systems to suit (that's a quote from Scarlett BTW) and we are 2-3.

Spot the ****ing difference.
I've never known a side that sets up to lose the contest and intercept across half back (which of course you can't setup for with the 666 rule, so all that happens is you lose the contest, then the next, then you see a goal sail overhead) and have a reactive gamestyle based on watching what the opposition bring and adapting from there, to have any success what-so-ever. It does not work. It will never work and yet we ****ing continue to do it!

We are playing he same game plan we have all year. Nothing has changed. Its always been this boring.

Its not puzzling. Scott has coached like this for half a dozen years. If one of his strategies doesnt work he doesnt change plans. He ramps it up.

Why do you think it worked for the first 12 weeks as opposed to the last month? Is it uust our forwards are down and thus we aren’t trapping the ball in and being as efficient as we were or has the system been found out?

We were scoring 100 points a week up until recently. Now averaging around 70 for the past month.

We've been found out.

We've spent all season moving the ball up the line. Only thing that has changed is our forward line is not taking its opportunities.

We need someone who brings the best out of players every game. Not the worst.

You're forgetting that Tuohy has the significant upper hand in number of times kicking it out on the full.
You could make a 20min montage of Tuohy kicking it out on the full. Half those under 0 pressure.
