Yeah, I noticed the booing of him dropped off a bit as the game wore on.

It's based entirely on the 07 final when 'Crawf', 'Jordy' and some other battler tried to whack him off the ball. Yet that makes Harvey the bad guy.

I find hawks supporters to be ****ed in the head in general. Im mates with about 8 of the campaigners

They are a very strange lot. I like listening to 3AW's breakfast announcer Ross Stevenson after the Hawks lose. Unfortunately I think he's still on holidays tomorrow but after every loss for the last 10 years he's said "that was the worst I've ever seen the Hawks play!" and then he'll make a snide remark about the umpires. Never acknowledges that the opposition may have been a bit better on the day.

We might not have the most supporters but we are passionate as anyone else . Even with all the things people serve up to us , well we must have done something right we have been around 145 years , we are survivors , I love this about us.

Had a read through their game day thread. According to them the umps were brutally against them all night (free kick count was roughly even and I'd say they got more cheapies than we did) commentators were barracking for north (yeah right so far as they were concerned only one team out there and it wasn't us) and Petrie a dirty eye gouger.

Not a big fan of their latte-sipping money-grubbing club and the supporters it seems don't have their heads screwed on right either. A number of their players are at least respectable (though Lake is off that list now).

Basically we were their Richmond game of the last few years..
Everything went our way...
Lake sparked our hunger in the 3rd quarter..
They can't win without speed from Rioli/Hill..
Smith/Hale/Birchall all played crap games..
They had a 6 day break from an interstate trip in the wet..
They couldn't play any worse, we couldn't play any better..
We came out guns blazing because of the Brissy loss..etc

Funny stuff, total damage control. Nothing about us simply outplaying them.

Of course Hawthorn fans are concentrating on how Hawks played rather than how North played..have a look at last weeks North Brisbane thread and see how you guys compare. Here are some examples of how Hawthorn fans didn't ackowledge your performance all taken from the first dozen posts on the second page(I clicked to first unread):

Post 32: we got outplayed. fair enough,

Post 33: ultimately they were just too good

Post 37: Out played by a better team on the day, they cared a lot more than we did. Credit to them!

Post 46: Disappointing for so many reasons, but mostly because we were beaten to the ball continually

You guys had a great win, well done, no need to spread bullshit.
