Nah quite interesting story this Lewis vs locals now getting violent. Got a couple of mates in Buenos Aires who've hit me up about it earlier in the week. I've called it out as dirty money for years but this is the first real sign of violence being used against women and peaceful protesters by Lewis security brigade. Enic becoming blood money

I know our club like to keep his stuff quiet. And this is the owners thread is it not?

Don't get so defensive of our violent capitalist leader. It's an ugly look.

My issue isn’t what Lewis spends his money on, we’ve known that for years. Old and boring news that largely doesn’t effect us as a club as.

We are a 4-6 club on the table with or without our current owners.

Yeah, Id expect FSG to drop that 350m on transfers. Its 350m they didnt have before.

But it's 350m to recoup their intitial investment so.. it is money they had before investing in Liverpool. How do they recoup their initial investment if they just spend it on players?

By reinvesting and winning more trophies / prizemoney.

Id hope any potntial investor would make it a condition of investment their money goes towards transfers.

Otherwise if FSG do as they please the worst case result is they take the investment money and put it towards their infrastructure loans.

What on earth would be the point of FSG selling their 10% then? They'd literally be losing leverage and getting nothing in return.

They'd be getting 350m worth of players owned by the club that they wouldn't have funded (they have never funded a single player transfer out of their own money). More trophies, more prize money. Increased asset value.

And yet you think they'd willingly give up 10% stake in the hope they make it back in trophies and prize money.

The asset value won't increase dollar for dollar with transfers spent. There is less than zero chance they do what you're suggesting.

The Daily Mail has over egged the pudding a bit, it was a regularly scheduled shareholders meeting, and not specifically about finances.

Would have liked to be a fly on the wall anyway.
