JON to stay in the side this week. At least get some games into him against the lesser sides of the competition. With Carlton, a break, West Coast and Essendon coming up, I think this is a good opportunity for likes of JON and Polo to play consecutive matches in the 1's, whilst not ruining our chances of taking the 4 points in each of those contests.

Look, there's players at Coburg who, if played in the senior Richmond team each week would probably improve our chances of winning more games in 2008. But as we've discovered, these same blokes are also very limited and very flawed footballers in other areas and will take us no further than they have already in their careers i.e. not far.

So I reckon we have a sort of duty to gamble on lesser-experienced and younger blokes now who may became great contributors in the future, even though other more experienced players might help out more in the immediate term.

I think were all pretty tough on our recruits
the 2005 draft was touted as a thin draft and if you have a look at
most teams first rounders you will see alot of players havent found their feet at afl level yet

Xavier Ellis - fully established in the Hawks best 22, played every game this year. Started a year late due to school.
Josh Kennedy - showing great signs at West Coast until injured.
Beau Dowler - kkp missed a year due to injuries, long term prospect.
Marcus Drum - showed good signs.
Shannon Hurn - established as part of West Coasts best 22 until injured.
Travis Varcoe - going well, showing great signs.
Darren Pfeiffer - showing glimpses.
Max Bailey - injured
Courtney Dempsey - shows potential.
Paul Bower - showing potential
Danny Stanley - ???
Beau Muston - injured

JON has yet to show a single glimpse, doesn't mean he won't but really after taking Tambling ahead of a KKP the previous year Richmond look to have totally wasted a good pick, they should have taken Mitch Clark.

shannon hurn - has been dropped since the eagles went down hill, havent richmond been down hill since jon got there?

Pffeifer- showing glimpses hahahah where in the vfl are you kidding was dropped from adelaide and ROOKIE listed! Give us a break
Max bailey - plays for hawthorn so we will just say his a gun and is injured without even mentioning any of JONS injuries! (as recent as his broken arm suffered this year)
