In terms of defence work SAAB is best known for its maritime work, so there is a synergy there.

Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
SAAB lost out a lot more with the decision to drop the Attack Class subs. The weapon system for that was a big project for them here in Adelaide. The defence market is a growing industry here. Great to see Port getting involved,

What sort of weirdo didn't have a favourite jet. Mine was the Mig-25, a built-for-speed cold war icon.

In my day, all boys had a favorite footy/soccer player: PELE. A favorite F1 driver: BRABHAM. A favorite cricket player: BRADMAN ... And of course, a favorite jet! Mine was the great MIRAGE jet with it's iconic wing shape. Just the best! What sort of weirdo didn't have a favourite jet. Mine was the Mig-25, a built-for-speed cold war icon.

We had a house in Dulwich and we would sit on the roof and watch the F111's go overhead when we had the Grand Prix.True. F-111 for me. Those retractable wings!

Did you know the most easterly point of brazil is closer to Dakar Senegal than it is to Porto Alegre?
Yes. And Brazil’s Northernmost point is closer to every single country in the Americas than to Brazil’s Southernmost point.
I’ve read that Melbourne is closer to Antarctica than to Darwin.
As a kid I remember collecting stickers from one of those mail order magazines about jets. And of course top gun was a big thing. I thought most people grew out of it by 12 years old?
As Jerry Seinfeld said, Melbourne is the world's anus.
A10 warthog, beat me by about 5 minutes.Anyone who doesn't say the A10 is objectively wrong...maybe only gets competition from the F14 tomcat.
