I think it stems from the complete lack of competitiveness without salary cap assistance.

Since that was abolished circa 05 (I think) from memory they've made the finals just once which makes them as poorly performed as Melbourne over the journey so with a $12 million debt and the GH5 I can understand someone labeling them irrelevant...

Yeah they have a list full of untouchables. They want a elite player but aren't willing to give a player up and Crisp or Paparone don't count Lions fans.

I think what the Pies supporters are saying is that Aish should walk and say he is homesick and we offer only "pick 9", seeing that Beams is only worth pick 4 for him.
