Bower was one of our best tonight again I thought. How much has this guy improved since last year? Using the ball better I think and he's taking more marks as well. Gonna be one too watch

Its a very interesting time for our backline with Waite on the side lines. Waite's injury could be a blessing in disguise, the development of Bower, Austin and Jamo could be fast tracked due to the increased responsability. The three look to be a fantastic combination........although I still beleive we need a good medium sized defender that can play on those smaller marking types............I think we saw that last night.
Bower is beginning to really become a vital cog in the backline like Jamo and I think Austin will develop faster than many of us thought.
Its Angelo Christou version 2.0
I reckon that's a fair call. Has a more "cat in tumble-dryer" style than Ang but yeah, attacking, rebounding, improving disposal. His athleticism is extraordinary - he seems to be in panic mode yet his solid defending and accurate clearances display a cool head. Love my Emu.![]()

Even then, he's looking more composed week by week and less like a deer caught in the headlines - or a startled emu, if you prefer.I reckon that's a fair call. I have the most annoying woman behind my reserved seat. She constantly bitches about Bower even when he's 25 metres away from the play. Did anyone else hear her last night? I am rapidly losing patience with her constant bickering. Oh, and she kept calling Stevo 'weak', despite his great performance. I turned around and just looked at her for a little while, but it was to no avail as she began her ranting about 3 seconds after I turned around.
Basically, I have the worst seat in Etihad.![]()
