I heard the other day that most clubs are baulking at him because he has to have injections every week for his back.
I don't think he will re-sign with us... he seems to be disgruntled and un-happy with the club

Heaps of natural talent but unfortunately hasn't got the body to go with it and it will only deteriorate from this point on. I wouldn't hesitate to trade him for 2nd round pick.

That is just ridicilous he WON our clearances, our 1st possessions and disposals per game, and you want to trade him for a 2nd round pick.. that is just ridicilous.

One way or another I think Haselby's playing association with the Fremantle Football Club is coming to an end. It is certainly starting to look that way.

I dont know how accurate this info is but i heard or read that hasleby was offered $250,000 for a 2 year deal which he does not want to sign as it it a bit of a decrease in salary compared to the $420,000 he was on in 2007.

considering Des Headland is on like 350k, 250k is a disgrace for a player such as Haselby. They should offer him up to like 500k based on performance. If he can't get his body up, then he doesn't get the full amount, but at least he has the potential to.

Dess is out of contract this year as well. So I think they both will be downgraded, and if they don't like it they can see what other offers are around. Anthony Van der Wielin is not a manager's a/hole though, so I don't like Haze's cahnce of $420k, which BTW is way too much.

In the end it isn't the manager who is responsible for Hasleby's contract being downgraded. He has not done enough to warrant his current pay-scale.

Same with Headland and Farmer. That's 3 of our top earners who have had a generally disappointing few years, and now that contract negotiation time is here, they will be called to account. Bundle Longmuir into that and it is very ordinary.

When the Wizz has been on the park he was been sensational, cant overlook his output. Put a club imposed get out clause in his contract incase he screws up again and get him signed.
Meet Hase half way and get his done aswell.
Des probably a slight pay cut, but again sign him.

i think the fact he missed recovery points to a serious disgruntle & harvs was not impressed
would not be surprised to see hase bundled with other player/pick for trade after last week

Harvs will know that the dockers lack pace in the midfield and a disgruntled, overpaid, ill-disciplined, injury prone paul hasleby should be traded.
headland i would keep because he played well this year, but he needs a pay decrease purely because of the robbery he committed in his first three years with us, well paid with no output.
Wiz should be on a one year deal for the rest of his career, freo should be able to dump him the moment he slips up and he should be paid on performance.

Hasleby shouldn't be traded. He wins our clearances. The leading clearance player at the SuperHawks is Mitchell who is not exactly the quickest player around, yet I do not see him being traded or delisted. Hase will be better with another preseason under his belt and should be handed a lesser contract due to his indiscretions.

At the moment, Hasleby is nowhere near Mitchell. The guy breaks tackles and wins contested ball.

Hasleby at his best > Mitchell. But we haven't seen that best for many years, people are starting to speculate he might not be able to achieve it.

In his first season(2000) I think he missed the last 1-2 games because of a back injury.

Sam Mitchell mite not be fast but he's mobile Haze isn't. besides his chronic back complaint he's got a hernia again.

I don't want him in my club, their is talk of Heath Scotland swapping to dockers for him, that Brad Hardie trying to push. Heath Scotland has improved every year since getting him from Collingwood and he gets the ball a hell lot and is one of the most reliable players in our club. The only reason to trade him is that he will be 28 and his playing his best football and we still years away as a team and a club that is very close to the 8 or in it will benefit with him,but i only trade him for a defender or someone has potential but hasn't shown it that is still young.

Freo should just stop trading; period. They don;t know how to do it and always get r*ped. Every time the urge to trade strikes they should just have a cup of tea and a good lie down and wait until it passes.

You must on some good stuff down south. Haze thinks he's worth more than what FFC are prepared to pay and the Club knows what this ailments are the club ha sinvited him and his manager o test the market.

If carlton are prepared to pay $420K+ for him good luck to him then but they will be getting damaged goods for that price. I'd take scotland in a flash!!

Taz and Solly for two players outside our 22 + pick 13. Looks okay to me.
Steven Koops for pick 19 (Mundy). Looks okay to me.
Leigh Brown for pick 13 (Schammer). Looks okay to me.

Sure, there have been some big screw ups - no doubt - but there have also been some good ones amongst it.
