I wanted him off Fox Footy but not this way.

Doesn't feel right.

Though i might run into Pav now whenever i venture out to the posh Eastern Suburbs of Sydney

The other thing is this rules out Pav handing Moose the cup on the dias ffs.

Pav won't be there in a Freo scarf while he is the Swans CEO.

I always thought Pav was going to be the one on stage to hand it out.

Isn’t that what the northern academies are for? To get kids who would’ve never considered AFL playing it?

Does it? Maybe if the Swans are in the GF but surely Pav will be happy to hand in out in 2 months time.

How so? If Cooper Hodge picks Brisbane, the Hawks fans will have a cry, but why will this make the AFL do anything with the northern academies? The only thing that might happen is more adjustments to the bidding/matching, but that would happen irrespective of Hodge Jr.

If Pav's sons are any good, I would say it is more likely they will end up playing for Sydney if Pav is still living there. Stick with the place closer to their parents/home. I doubt they have developed a lasting allegiance to Freo/WA. Look at Nic Blakey, his dad played 350 games for Lions/Roos and none for Sydney.

Gotta hand it to Pav. He doesn't come across as all that sharp to me, but he keeps landing these cushy jobs. Well and truly part of the boy's club.
 
I am Born, Bred & live in Sydney

Being the CEO of the Sydney Swans is an important role but in saying that Tom Harley did a fine job without much media attention.

So what constitutes success at the Swans as a CEO

Memberships, Corporate support, crowd numbers, Finals appearances, Premierships.

The Swans have been top 4/6 for most of my life time.

They have a rusted on fan base now.

The odd down year like this year but reality they are similar to Geelong always there abouts though the Swans have never had a dynasty of premierships.

One thing about the Swans though is the hypocrisy with the pride round/jersey but then milking the $$$ from Qatar Airways.

I think the academy rules will be tightened to remove them having access to kids whose dad player AFL, thanks in part to a big Vic club potentially getting shafted

Come off it they've lived here all their lives (their youngest child is 9). Nic Blakey on the other hand has lived in Sydney since he was 2

Pav and Dean Cox working together for the Swans who saw that coming.

Pav might enjoy it more when he has to sack him in 2 years time.
