Can someone in the bar please explain this 'peanut gallery' thing to me. I always though the peanut gallery was the ppl at the back of a conference, etc who yelled out funny, entertaining comments.

No, they are called PC's

You're right, they are people who sit in the back ground and make whimiscal & outragously funny comments when not required.

I am however, under the impression that you cease to be a peanut when you are the centre of attention.

Everyone that has been accused to being a peanut is now at the forefront of most posts on the General board. Surely this makes us the majority, and the so call "non" PG are now the minority...

Unfortunatly, they are not the "Silent" Minority

All I can say is, if the reason you go to a pub is to get drunk or score, then I feel sorry for you. Personally, I go to pubs (when I go to pubs in RL, which admittedly is not often), but when I do go, it's just to hang out and have a bit of fun. Which is what I do here.

Exactly. Hanging out with friends, having a few drinks, blowing a few dollars with the pubTAB. I do it all the time - it's great.
And a bar like this is great. Same sort of idea; but I'm in Sydney, Mantis is in Perth, most of the rest of the people are in Melbourne, but we can still have a drink together here. Great fun - I don't see what the problem is.
