As much as I think the Murphy and Schoenberg selections are wrong I dont think its that much of a game changer

I still see us winning this by 1-2 goals

I wish selection was different but it isnt
What’s your knock on the Schoenberg selection out of interest ? What you think of his season this year ?

People talking about Collingwood losing risks their top 4 chances. It risks way more the that!

Their finals spot is not a lock, and % isn't on their side either.

Make no mistake, this is a massive pressure game for the Pies. They are risking going into the final round with the biggest in-season choke of all time on their shoulders.

They're not falling out of the 8.

Freo play the Dogs next week, the loser of that misses

Still reckon there’s a player there, hope he goes well. Eagles could do worse than giving him a couple of years.
If he can regain that burst from stoppage that he had, there's absolutely a player there.

Seen it more and more in the SANFL as the years gone one, but this is obviously a different level.

1. I think he is delist material
2. Following that it's time to move on to others
3. If a player who hasn't played senior footy is able to jump over others it doesn't say much about LM

I haven’t been more relaxed before a home game all year.

Top 2 pretty much locked away regardless. Finishing second arguably an even better result. Not at full strength (so not showing our full hand). Win, lose. Who cares.

Just going to enjoy a carefree night at the footy. Happy days.

I don't think we're at that point yet, as a team. We're a young side. Probably a year early, arguably. We'll need momentum and confidence. A loss to Collingwood is a psychological step back IMO.

We have decided to bring in someone who is clearly not up to playing at this level anymore as he is a good guy and does lots of little things nobody notices...
That's the thing that has us all dumbfounded, isn't it?

Is it that "nobody notices"?
I think that he just doesn't do them.

I’ve been confident all week but with Smith and Murphy in the 22 and seeing what Lions did last night has me worried. I’ve changed my tip to Pies and will probably throw them a couple of my multis. Haven’t had a bad feeling like this all year.
The Lions had 5 goals from frees and 50m penalties. That's an awful lot of relying on the rub of the green and a pile of missed shots on goal to seal a game.

I do. I think its a stupid decision made even more stupid by the highly likely possibility he will (should) be delisted

I said in my opening post the selections wont change the result - because I genuinely believe we can carry 1 or 2

But not the 2 stoobs picks

Smith and Murphy are by far the worst selections. Schoey has the potential to play good football for us.

Not sure what to make of this game, on form and confidence you’d think Adelaide should win comfortably but there’s part of me that worries about complacency and another that thinks Collingwood may get absolutely smashed.

Last round wasn’t exactly a confidence builder. Hopefully it was a blip and not the beginning of a changed form line.

There’s a comment from the oppo board. “Cheese eating surrender monkeys” that comment is not just aimed at the Collingwood faithless but directed at our boards lack of confidence in tonight’s result.
I never understood the “cheese” reference but “ surrender monkeys” is totally appropriate.

I like cheese and will be imbibing while savouring a solid victory.

I think Brisbane and Collingwood have been prepping for finals since about Round 10. They know what's required.

I certainly hope I'm wrong. If we win, it's the biggest gorilla off the back, and it's all eyes on getting a spot in the big one.
They will bring the heat big time especially after they saw us crumble against West Coasts heat.

Ultimately though we are travelling better and have too many weapons up forward.

As long as we don’t let Daicos have a ridiculous game we will win.

Once trump finishes mediating peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, i really hope he pops in to have a chat with Nicks about the continued selection of Murphy.
Easier to talk Putin down

I’m fascinated why anyone would think the Pies would win by 3+ goals?
Desperation. It'll be season-making for them; lose tonight and next game and they could miss Top 8 let alone Top 4.
WE were garbage last week and the only IN that improves us is Walker.
The additions of Smith/Murphy/Schoenberg are nett negative --- they make us slower and weaker.
We will win this.
Yeah, at a guess I think we will be up by 5 goals at half time and will win comfortably.
Crows by 20 points
I hope all of you are right :thumbsu: .
(OP heavily Edited --- sipping on a bottle of Glayva was not conducive to good posting).

Cheese is code for French

Trump would congratulate him.
"Murphy does things that nobody notices" is the kind of double-speak bullshit for which DJT is famous.
