no way. There's no rush. Thunderstruck hasn't taken long with any of his picks to date. Time isn't an issue anyway.

cypher said:No point in finishing last only to walk away with Gibbs, Petterd, Schmidt and Everitt in this draft. Back to back spoons with less wins and we're going to be no better off than Port if either of those kids don't make it.![]()

What is Scmidt all about? Who are you lining up for next round?

HugeBluesFan said:Schmidt plays on the HBF, but could also play on the wing. Pretty good kick and has ok leg speed. IMO, SA's second best player at the champs behind Gibbs. He also reads the game pretty well and sets up attacks from the Half back line.
As for my next selection, i'm tossing up between a couple more mids and perhaps a defender.
My criticism wasn't directed at HBF.macca69 said:It's easy to criticise mate (that's a general comment, nothing wrong with your picks HBF) , but why not offer up a few names that should have been taken instead of just critising the ones that were taken.

A PP after the first round is a joke when your list is as poor as Carlton's and we were shafted due to the tanking of Hawthorn and Collingwood last year. The AFL change their policy on the run due to the media or forums like this discussing an issue.![]()
Reid instead of Petterd.HugeBluesFan said:Who would you have selected then Cypher?![]()

After a few changes of mind, I've decided to take a bit of a punt at #51. A midfielder with pace and skills. Much like Simmo when he was drafted to the Blues. Will need to bulk up as he is only 71kg - well according to afl.com

Not only is he a ball magnet but he also has great skills, scouts may be concernerd about his pace but there are plenty like him in the AFL and he was rewarded for his great effort in the champs with AA honours.

RiteBak@Ya said:Happy with Gibbs and Petterd. Not sure about the other picks. All appear to be outside players.
After watching the Sydney finals series last year I am convinced that with a team of tough inside footballers you can win a premiership. The likes of Kirk, Bolton, Buchanan ect counted when it mattered. Carlton already has some reasonable outside players in Walker, Simpson, Russell.
Trying not to be to critical but pasionate about getting mentally and physically tough players.
