Next Pick- Andrew Horne - Calder Cannons

Can honestly say i dont know much about him. Can win alot of the ball, plays rover.

I'm tipping his stocks will rise after he goes close to BOG in the TAC cup GF.

Strike 1,2 or 3?

there was a mis-comunication between myself and Sinepari. The guy he was refering to has already been taken. Carl Peterson wen't to us with our last pick.

That's a big call Macca.

I might have worded that wrong. He will be in Calders best 3 players on the day in what should be a close game. Will be a few other players whose stock will rise too, especially on BF.

If that is the case then Carlton will nominate him as a F/S selection :p

North Melbourne select ex Essendon and current West Adelaide Utility Ben Haynes, 24yo Haynes had a great year in the SANFL and I beleive still has something to offer in the AFL

Brisbane Draft pick 86

Haydn Kiel, - QLD

15/01/88 180cm, 79kg,

Versatile small HBF/mid/HFF/ Likes to run and carry and applies good pressure when he doesn't have the ball. Could become a good tagger.

That completes Brisbane's drafting in this Trail.

Thanx guys an interesting exercises. It will be interesting to see how different the next one will be. Not long now.

Great effort by everyone involved, absolutely rapted with CFC selections.
Would have loved Houli and maybe Jacob's somewhere amongst them.
Will be very interesting to compare to the real thing.
Ciao

I've heard alot of big raps on albert proud and he being a possibility to slip down to pick 10 and joel selwood being rated one of the best midfielders in there along with the excitemement of jetta's pace but is it a realistic possibility that we will land one of proud, selwood or jetta at pick 10 come draft day?

Sure, it is quite realistic.....

Where's Johnson, we haven't had a selection for a while?

Brennan from the Calder Cannons has had a terrific year and has gone unnoticed in this thread . very strong marking KPP. along with andrew Horne and jarryd allen, are key players for the Cannons. brennan could be a smokey, but Horne and allen have a fair chance? any thorts?

Port Adelaide- Selection 87: Jaymie Youle, Gippsland Power; 180 cm, 82 kg

This guy is a legitimate half back flank who would make a lindsay gilbee cross with a ryan lonie. very pacey and has good footskills. Very hard at the footy and loves to run the lines. Kicks running goals from half back and is capable of playing as a rover/ ruck rover.

Purely a footballer but these last 2 picks i've had, it's good to take a risk. Hopefully there's a rookie draft, as i believe there is many untapped localised talent that haven't even had a look in.

I agree, I think a rookie draft would be a good idea. After the draft is concluded, everyone could PM me a list of 10 or so players that they would like to be rookied and I'll organise the rookie draft, as Grub did last year. Unless anyone has any objections?
