The next best SA lad is Greenwood, and he's not even close to pick 10. I've been told around the pick 30 range is his value.

Looks like Greenwood will be around at one of our array of 2nd round picks.

Id go after Rioli/Rance. Hope Veszpremi makes it to pick 22.

How about Sam Jacobs Woodville West Torrens Ruckman drafted by Carlton last year . The Crows need a good ruckman they surely can not rely on Biglands after a knee reconstruction to be the number 1 ruckman!!

You could surely set your heights a little higher than another clubs rookie list if you're worried about Biglands. We're not even considering someone like Cam Wood because we already have Maric and Griffin, so why would Jacobs be on our radar?

Greenwood is looking more and more likely to be there for our second pick as we start shuffling up in the second round, but I've got my doubts about taking Veszpremi and Greenwood in the same draft. Both big bodied midfielders that like to carry the ball. Veszpremi has a few more strings to his bow and is a better prospect but if we don't get him I'd love to see us go Greenwood. I highly doubt Vesz will be there by our second pick because I know a few clubs (I'm actually talking about clubs here, not just fans on BF) are interested in him, including Collingwood. Pick 10 would be our only chance for him.

Matty Wright is another SA kid I would like to see us draft, from the limited amount I have seen of him, but similarly there's a player on this side of the border that might be there for one of our second rounders that would be a better prospect with a bit more versatility and that is Addam Maric.

What do u think of David Myers? If he is at pick 10 and ebert is gone, do u think we should pick him up? Have been hearing some really good things bout him, and he played pretty well in the carnival for WA, looked all class.

Noticed him a bit at the Carnival but I honestly haven't seen enough of him to really say. I haven't seen too much of the WA guys apart from the Championships and the odd WAFL game on ABC2. Rance just jumped out at me as a good prospect straight away, which is why I commented on him.

What I hear of Myers sounds good though.

Greenwood is probably your classic case of a 7/10 player. Ticks most boxes but doesn't really get high distinction. Good, but not great at everything. Would be a pretty safe sort of pick because you can be pretty sure of what you're going to get.

My comment was a bit of a stretch. I know that Collingwood are interested in him but apart from that it's just been a bunch of noise from different people on BF.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure they will take him at the very least if they keep their first rounder. I think he's the sort of player that will raise the eyebrows of a lot of clubs though. The reason I'm so keen on him is that he is exactly what Adelaide need. As mentioned earlier there are certainly players I'd take ahead of him but I don't expect them to be there. I do see him being at our Pick 10 though.

Somebody mentioned in another thread that Ebert may slide to 10th. I think this may be a possibility. Does anybody know how he went at draft camp and how they think it may shape his position in the draft. With what has been happening in relation to the go home factor, teams may opt for local talent.

I haven't noticed that, but I noticed that he is quite one sided. Got very good pace and X Factor though. He's very dynamic and is one of those team lifting sorts of players. Has played some top footy in WAFL seniors which is encouraging. There is NO way he will be there at Pick 10. I just can't see it.

agreed there's no way we will get him at 10 especially with two WA teams above us. in fact it will be interesting to see if the judd go home saga alters the drafting policy of non-vic teams at all, particularly with 1st rounders.

It's shaping up to be a very interesting Top 10.

I rate Palmer very highly. I was skeptical at first because he really burst onto the scene with that killer game against Vic Metro at the Champs but he has proven that game wasn't just a flash in the pan. The thing is, his form in the WAFL has been remarkable since the Champs. I rate Palmer and Morton higher than Masten and at the moment I have Morton just ahead of Palmer. I believe he was draftable last year as a bottom ager and missed out but it was such a good draft that this isn't a huge indictment on him.

But that's only my opinion and since it's so close each different club will have different opinions. Some may rate any one of those three as the pick of the lot.

Burgatron Phantom Draft normally comes out the week before the draft - usually on Wed or Thurs from memory. Definitely can't be released before the end of trade week, as we don't even know what the final draft order will be yet!

i'ld keep 22 - the best i'ld give for Symes is 28 and even then i'm not convinced that he's what the club really needs
