Or do we hope an interstate team strikes for Richards then a bit of good home factor kicks in in 24 months?!

We could of tried to turn 6 and 30-whatever it is into Richmonds Picks - They will have to use it for Naish anyway..
We could of had the chance to go bang bang with Balta and Richards and kept everyone happy
I not sure we’d take him even if he was available. But no Fog Machine then.
I really hope we do. He makes so much sense from both a needs and best available perspective imo.I not sure we’d take him even if he was available.
I've changed my mind 100 times, but I'd be really happy with Fogarty. At 192 - 193cm (and how knows maybe still growing), he is that perfect height now for a modern forward. He also has relentless attack on the footy and scope to also play midfield. He also has good footskills and strength.
He obviously struggled through this year with injury, and I understand the concerns that he had a quiet year. Clearly the injuries would have had a significant impact.
I'd really like Coffield too. Would love to be in St.Kilda's position with picks 7 and 8.
I reckon though we've invested in Murray as the speedy half back, so our biggest need is a forward. Fogarty might not be exactly the KPP we desire, but we already have Moore at 200cm, and I don't see many teams going in with 2 200cm guys these days.
I like the Adelaide setup with Jenkins at 200cm, then Walker at 193ish. West Coast also structure nicely with Kennedy (195cm) and Darling (192cm).
I'd then go tall at our next 2 picks as well with key defenders.
Jenkins what a dud
200cm and specialist in joe he goose
When was he ever seen taking a strong pack mark or splitting a pack
McGovern twice the player IMO
I don't mind the argument there regarding locking our KPDs down for many years, just curious where you see McLarty? I really liked some of his stuff in the VFL this year, I think he'll be a very handy player in timeNaughton is my guy now, the kid is a machine and there isn’t a go home risk. He lived in Vic until he was 9 and has close connections here.
Give the young mids a year to kick themselves into gear without dumping another 18/19 year old gun into the mix. We might find out Daicos or Sier is a gun and that we didn’t really need Coffield/Cerra meanwhile our KPP stocks are still aching.
It sounds underwhelming taking a KPP after the build-up but make no mistake he will play senior footy in 2018 at any club and he’ll be terrific.
6: Aaron Naughton
38: Toby Wooller
56: Ben Paton
This is a draft I’d love to see. I’m interested in Spargo as a defensive small forward at 38/56 as well and also Sam Taylor at 38 would be a great key defender (would take both Naughton and Taylor if I had the chance - KPD’s sorted for many years)
Jake Patmore has displayed a lot as a small defender, might be an option at 56 or rookie draft, Flynn Appleby is a good shut down defender and should go in the rookie draft. I’d love to add one of these two. Sam Collins is also a very good mature key defensive option to provide immediate depth.

Draft set up is lame, so we have players already back for Preseason and we still haven't even drafted any players, just doesn't make sense how it's scheduled

Are links to Collins real? Or just a preference? I haven't seen much by way of news
I would be more than happy to draft Fog, he was my guy early in the year. I just think A) he’s going to before our pick. I think Carlton, North and Freo all can select him. And B) He just doesn’t have the runs on the board this year and I think that comes under big consideration with Hine, so I can see him passing on him.I really hope we do. He makes so much sense from both a needs and best available perspective imo.
No problem with depth. I don’t expect the club to recruit two young KPD’s in the national draft, I just rate them high enough that I would take them both if given the opportunity. McLarty is looking good and I think he’ll play some footy next year.
Best 22: Lynden Dunn, Darcy Moore
Depth: Sam Collins
Alternatives: Ben Reid (forward), Tyson Goldsack (utility)
Future: Aaron Naughton, Sam McLarty
This is a badass key defensive lineup that I’d love to run into 2018 with.

My guess is Cerra will be available with pick 6.
Not sure why the knock on Brander. Seems like a logical pick imo.
b/c from his highlights he looks more Corey Gault than Nick Riewoldt...My guess is Cerra will be available with pick 6.
