Might get him at 38Seems that way. He must be confident Collingwood will take him if hes available.
Otherwise hes a big mouth ****** to avoid!!!!

Yep and about 8 at pick 6Is there a limit on how many players we can take at 38? I think we're up to 16 already

How quickly did you put down your drink when you realised that the pun was ruined by a spelling mistake?
given he was dropped for the wafl grand final i'd say no.So how ready made is Naughton? Could he play AFL year 1?
If picking him up could put an end to the idea of Moore playing back I would be keen. Plus we would have our KPDs sorted for the next 10 years. Would just need to pick up Lynch next year and we're laughing.

Agree. Start the Naughton welcome thread.
At the very least he must have a good indication that Freo are very keen on him at 5.

Dropped for a lot of Freo players. Was probably always going to happen.given he was dropped for the wafl grand final i'd say no.
I feel like I’m one of very few that is very happy with this haha.Yeah Naughton it is looking at that article. Ridiculous over the top loyalty you wouldn't show without guarantees. Might as well close the poll and cash out early![]()

thanks. Even so, I don't see him being AFL ready given he'd be expected to play on key position forwards who have spent 4 years + in the gym. He isn't damaging enough with the ball to be a third defender and we already have a surplus of talent in that position.Dropped for a lot of Freo players. Was probably always going to happen.
Depending on injuries I’m happy to play him in the 2’s for the year. If he comes in later in the year I’d be confident that he’d be able to come in and play a role on someone.thanks. Yeah it is an interesting one. Maybe they know something we don’t.I don't mind him but it puzzles me why we didn't trade down. Saints, Dogs, Blues wouldn't pick him, we could have trade 6 for Brisbane's two picks, got Naughton and then picked up Richards/O'Brien...

You feel the rest of his game completely makes up for his disposal problems (both by hand and foot)? That kicking style under AFL pressure is going to set record numbers.....for direct turnovers. Very hard to change it too at his age.
I think so. His marking is very good. He’s getting compared to McGovern who had his big knocks on his kicking when drafted and while he still isn’t the best kick he is very damaging. I would be hoping for that out of Naughton. You feel the rest of his game completely makes up for his disposal problems (both by hand and foot)? I’m not but hoping Cerra gets to 6I feel like I’m one of very few that is very happy with this haha.
