Probably Fogarty or Bonar after Collingwood pass on bothWho is your club GWS Giants picking?
Probably Fogarty or Bonar after Collingwood pass on both![]()
Found the going tough right from the start.
People put him on a pedestal.

All Hine said was he thinks the first half dozen from our point of view will be "midfield/utility types".
Nothing about us drafting a utility, some may need a hearing check.
Correct.
Said they'll be crossing off players down their list.
Also said they may not even use the four picks, depending on who might be left.
Like I said I’ve just heard we haven’t been keen. Now that could be us play our cards close to our chest, but he really has never been linked to us other than Twomey last minute. And I don’t really believe him.why wouldnt stephenson be mentioned....hes a far more complete footballer than any of these names mentioned....jmi
Mate, it’s doubtful Cerra will even be available at 6 now.as if you blokes need another midfielder! let us have Cerra!
According to mr know it all twomey cerra will be gone at pick 2Mate, it’s doubtful Cerra will even be available at 6 now.
Interesting interview.Found It:

I think going off that I putting a Line Thru Naughton
Don’t need to promote Thomas, could be used in the rookie draft, or if someone falls that we like.Interesting interview.
“We have 4 picks but probably won’t use all of them”
“Early Pick will be a midfield/utility type, then we will pick on a needs basis”
“We have committed to Tyler Brown, provided he doesn’t get bid on before where we rate him”
Based on that, I think this is Collingwood’s plan:
Pick 6: Darcy Fogarty/Best Available Midfielder
Pick 38: Key Position Player
Pick 56: Tyler Brown
Pick 61: Pass (List spot kept open to promote Josh Thomas)
Interesting interview.

I don’t really rate Twomey’s opinion at all or his rankings, but I’ll concede he probably gets the best mail this close to the draft. If he reckons that Cerra could be gone at 2 I reckon there’s a pretty good chance of it happening.According to mr know it all twomey cerra will be gone at pick 2
Ok...I’ve finally settled on my pick...
It’s Fogarty...ah no it’s Cerra or Brayshaw, perhaps Stevenson or Naughton...what about Cofffield or Richards?
Yes, I’ve decided not to decide.
I’m going to let Hine decide instead.

Regardless of all that, it’s already been confirmed that Thomas will be retained as a rookie, and rookie promotions aren’t even done on draft night anymore. Why exactly would we be doing that? Rookies are eligible to play in 2018 without being promoted. If we take three selections the more likely outcome would be a pick in the PSD, a DFA, an extra rookie or a reduced senior list.
Interesting interview.

Daniel Cherny of the Fairfax press going with Fogarty at 6, from a Top 5 of Rayner, LDU, Dow, Cerra, Brayshaw...

6. COLLINGWOOD: DARCY FOGARTY (Glenelg)
192cm key forward
Big, powerful man with a beautiful kick should land at either the Kangas or Magpies. Mega talent was touted as No.1 at the start of the year before injuries hit. Collingwood needs goalkicking targets.
THE TWIST: If the Kangas plump for Fogarty, one of the premium midfielders will slip to Collingwood. That would almost certainly be the mature Brayshaw, who coach Nathan Buckley and captain Scott Pendlebury would equally love.
Just read Charlie Constable is touted as a 191cm cross between Sam Mitchell and Patrick Cripps... Jiminy! Why no hype on that? The kids ahead of him must be good!
We know, but another poster did not.Regardless of all that, it’s already been confirmed that Thomas will be retained as a rookie, and rookie promotions aren’t even done on draft night anymore.
Everyone has us taking Fogerty now
