Welcome Siggy!

Now, wouldn't that be awesome to have a Siggy along with a Stiffy in the back of the pack! :D
Stiffy might start chasing him coz he's got a craving for a Siggy.

I think 9 may be a stretch, thats probably after the 5-7 players he would have known were going before pick 10...

Surely our list would not include everyone - we would rule out people guaranteed to go ahead like whitfield or players we don't need.. So 9th on our list wouldn't mean 9th best player in the draft

Got to say I really like the look of this guy but I hope he doesn't grow anymore. He is already 196 and that is McKernan or Sellar height. Both lads we got don't look very fast either which is fine if they are guns but would still love to see a Garlett type just to get that line breaking pace to complement Danger and McKay. Certainly gone for our needs addressed though as we were 1 tall defender short this year and we can't fall back on Truck for much longer so well done Hamish, tick from me.

Seems like every year, regardless of whether we have pick 20 or pick 60, we still get someone who was top 10 on our draft list. There comes a time when you just have to call bullshit.
Do like his video though. Like that he beats his man and takes te mark when he can. Likes to play on quickly with either the long handball or kick. Technique looks good. He looks very tall, needs some months in the gym to fill out, but if he's already outbodying and outmarking people then it's a good sign.
Happy with this one with the footage given.

Liked his vid work a lot! Great awareness of team-mates, looked to have a good grab and foot skills, good agility for a bigger guy and he also worked hard to follow up the 1st possie. Looks to be a good one. Welcome siggo.

Sorry Bostrich... I'm liking so many posts I think I'm stealing your thing!
It is not my think no more... I originated the like of posts around here (I think?), and now others can imitate!

I cannot like no more, so to see others liking stuff makes my liking past feel happy again!

May the Like button I once had Rest In Peace...

Wow - looks really decent for a pick in the 60's. Would have like to have seen a bit more spoiling work but towards the end there had a few nice ones where he clearly decided the spoil was the go and killed the contest reasonably well.

Do like his quick ball movement and/or run. Seems very keen to move the ball on quickly and has the agility and skills to potentially become a bock type replacement. May not quite fill out like Bocky did but hard to tell with young guys sometimes.

Looks like a good pick Hamish - well done.

Pretty much my sentiments to. Looks to have some nice pace and agility, marking is quite good and agile for a big man.

Great get in the 60s!

Dont worry about the weight component 2 much , Dustin Fletcher never filled out but knew how to place his body and had the athleticism to maneovre around the bigger blokes in a one on one marking contest.

9th player likely to be available at pick 20 onwards ......only billy the goose would have had Toumpos/whitfield on any list when your first pick would have been 20.....or it may have been players available at 62??

Who knows the context of the list .....so read nothing into anything on "spin" night

That's spot on, the other 17 teams all missed these two players. This is why we have won so many premierships over the last 14 years, we're smarter tha the rest.

If they handed out flags for spin then we would be a genuine contender.

Looks like the club rated him quite highly out of the KPDs available, so I hope once Truck retires Talia can move to FB and we have a ready made CHB to fill his spot!

Could have also meant the 9th KPD they had ranked on their list. There is simply no way he was ever close to a 1st round prospect, let alone a top 10 pick.

Sounds like a chance .......at these picks you have to view them almost the same as rookies

They have potential ....but also serious issues that have seen them fall to this level in the draft
