If we trade just pick three and Kennedy for Judd, what type of player would you want Carlton to pick with pick 20?

I was leaning towards another midfielder with pick 20, but I'm moving towards drafting another tall forward if we trade Josh.

Who is likely to the best key position around at pick 20?

I think we might be left with a good midfielder at 20 if talls like Grant, Gourdis, Pears, Rance and Myers are drafted in the first 16 after impressive showings at draft camp. The Tigers picking a young ruck and KPP at 18 or 19 after picking Cotchin/Morton early might help us get our hands on another good midfielder.

Ward sounds good to my untrained eyes for pick 20, but a quality tall might "slip" to 20.

Or should we trade pick 20 for an uncontracted player?

What would McKinley be worth in this draft?

How about 'best future player'?

I'm hoping David Gourdis slips so I guess that's 'tall forward'.
How about staying on topic?

Start your own thread if you want to have another whinge about clubs picking for need if twp players are hard to split.

The trade option can be used if you think we should package pick 20 with a player to get a higher pick. :thumbsu:

How about having your reply to my post staying on topic and take every post on its merits? I gave you my answer and voted accordingly.

P.S. I like your last suggestion.

Two players i have earmarked for pick 20 if we still have it are Addam Maric and Patrick Dangerfield.

I think maybe over last couple of years we have gone very tall in drafts, so it might be of some worth grabbing a smaller, nuggety type player. Im also looking at Mitch Farmer with pick 36...would be a steal hope he last to it.

No.

You will whinge for the next year if trade for Judd and draft Kreuzer instead of picking Cotchin and Morton and keeping Kennedy. Your constant whining will snowball if Morton, Kennedy and Cotchin show alot next year and Kreuzer takes his time developing like most rucks.

I don't recall including "best future player" in the poll.

I think we will pick for need if the players are hard to split.

I think that we have enough tall defenders to develop at the moment in Austin, Jamison, O'Hailpin, Bower, Hartlett (might be forward) and Thornton.

I think maybe another smaller quick backmen like Anderson, or another tall forward if they decide to get rid of Kennedy.

this draft is average, trade it in the judd deal,l might save us a player. Or use it to get a usefull player around the age of 22- 24.

draft pics are over rated this year, it is important to develop kids but in this draft anything out of the top 10 is a lotery. One thing we lack is size, so use the pick to develop a well built and strong bodied 22 year old with a couple of years of afl experience under his belt.

Take the best available talent. Another one to watch for that hasn't been mentioned as of yet is Brett Meredith from Northern Knights. A hard working midfielder with good skills, high intensity, and his last 6-8 weeks in the TAC was outstanding.

Would also keep your eye out for Mitch Farmer from Calder. A Utility in every sense, and can play back, forward and through the midfield. A real crash and bash type, although his skills are very good as well.
