Royal Sampler listed most the names I would think that are in trouble, with the removal of Scott Burns, but otherwise a fair assessment IMO

Burns isn't in trouble. He may choose to retire, which is why he's listed, though I hope not (as with Buckley, and to a lesser extent Licuria). I expect Wakelin will retire, and if Bucks doesn't get on the paddock soon I think he may too at the end of the season.

Iles wont be delisted, hes in some fine form at the minute and is very stiff not to be in the Black and White.

Bryan wont be delisted, hard to see Guy getting the chop too.

We can always take one of the less developed youngsters off the list and rookie-list them, thats one free spot.

I was putting forward this possibility too, but the risk is they'd have to enter the rookie draft and be open to any club picking them up.

I know what you meant, and didn't mean for it to come across as if I thought he was in trouble of being delisted or being forced to delisted.
Just putting him in the general group saying he isn't in trouble, because I'd say it's 1:1 odds he will play on next year... Hence no trouble of him being on the retirement list

we haven't got such a great list that we can't find 4 players to delist so that we can bring in new recruits. richards (assuming we pick up another ruckman one way or another), davies, wakelin, iles, lonie. licca might be in trouble if he doesn't play some good footy this year, given that some of the new guys play a similar role. egan might be getting nervous too. there'll always be one or two at the end of the year that might be a surprise to some, but you've got to keep the new blood coming thru....

Richards is safe unless we trade for another mature bodied ruckman. If we draft a kid ruckman (or rookie one) Richards will be there for at least another 12 months and ony given the flick if his own development doesn't continue and/or the new one doesn't come up.

We have a number of midsized players. Apart from probably Wakes and possibly Bucks, throw a blanket over 4-5 players who would all be unlucky.

When Lonie's up and firing I think he deserves a spot on the list. Ego hasn't found consistency yet and his best hasn't been as good as it should have been. He should be nervous. He may survive this year but will need to make a statement next year to stay.

Licca, maybe not yet but the fact remains you're forced to turn over at least 3 players a year so someones got to go.

Iles, Davies, Wakelin (If Anthony shows positive signs) and an unknown (we dont know what is happening inside the club, there can be other players who the staff aren't interested in retaining that we dont know about)

How positive can the signs Anthony shows be? The guy can't play under medical advice until 2008. Wakelin's career ends this year, no two ways about it I'm afraid.
