As much as it pains me to see Tarrant leave I feel for the first time years they took full advantage during trade week and were realists when it came to what they should get for a player they were looking on moving on.

Medhurst is a bonus and Taz will enjoy being out of the Collingwood spotlight. Good luck to him and I hope he reaches his full potential but we have 2 picks in the top 10 in what is supposed to be the best draft in years while Carlton took the spoon and only have 1, all be it Gibbs. Let's hope they draft smart, we don't need a flashy midfielder, forward like Egan and Thomas, need a skilfull genuin midfielder who is a good decision maker and can kick.

I've heard from the jokers at my work "Medhurst is ****, how many goals has he kicked in Melbourne"....what rubbish, let the guy play a season or 2 in Melbourne and then pass judgement.

Yeah we've done well today. I was also really happy they made the effort to get the MRI on S. Johnson's ankles before making any silly deals. From all reports they're not going to hold up to the stress of AFL too much longer. We really might have been shafted had we gone ahead with that deal. I'd rather have Medhurst than Johnson anyway. Who knows, he might have a few more 9 goal hauls up his sleeve.

I reckon Medhurst will do very well for you guys. He started his career on fire and the Freo coaches tried to change his game. He has always been labled a bad traveller and his melbourne stats probably prove that. But nowhe lives in Melbourne and you guys play 18 or soin Melbourne he sould be sweet.
