My question to the bigfooty dt folk, Ellis or Adcock as a 5th back?

Ellis coming back from surgery and on light training may not be in first 22 for round 1.

Adcock apparently playing in defence and no certainty to score heavily.

Both are risky, but on that analysis, I would tentatively go Adcock, as I have.

Unsure on my 2nd premium forward. Opinions would be appreciated.

Before people post these questions maybe just maybe they should use the search feature as the Bigfooty site is a wealth of information.

People on this site are totally byist you need to do your own research, gather your own information and make your own educated opinions instead of being spoon fed by the masses its really not that hard.

If you list a player tell us why/why not, you are thinking about putting them in your team and we would be able to help you better.

I've got Raines locked in. I had him before the weekend's game and he was pretty impressive in that. This inspired me a bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc3FVm9mjAc

JWS is also in for me if he gets through a full preseason. From all accounts he's travelling well. There's always going to be question marks about his durability.

The thing with these two is, if they play, I don't think you can go wrong because they're clearly underpriced.

To be honest, I've got all 3 at the moment.

Why is everyone chosing Lockyer. There are much better options available at his price. He did well in a game against kids in a Nab cup game. Big deal. What will change from last year. He will average around 80-85 imo.

lionheart Lockyer hasn't missed a game since he came back from his knee reco (IIRC)

you're looking at 1800pts... i'd take that from my starting back

and fwiw, only 5 players (from the 08 backs) surpassed 1800pts. they were Fisher, Brennan, McMahon, Bock, Newman.

Malceski averaged 86 in 2007 and played all 22 games that year.
Myers has got about 10 games next to his name.

he'd have to run top3 in the Brownlow MINIMUM to be of any use.

not suited to DT (much better in SC) and would have absolutely blitz it like Cooney last year to ave 90+

Here's one from myself - Masten + Skipworth v Selwood (Joel) + Sidebottom

Masten + Skipworth - I don't believe that either will elevate themselves into keeper status and I am not convinced by Masten like some of the posters on this board. I prefer the job security that Skipworth offers compared to Sidebottom, ie. I am more confident in Skipworth getting a game than I am with Sidebottom.

Selwood + Sidebottom - I can see Selwood having a huge year, as he increases his ToG as Corey is gradually shifted onto the HBF. I think that Sidebottom has the potential to score big relative to the other forward draftees, but I have questions as to his position in the club.

Depends on what your goals are for the year. If its to only win you League then its Ellis for me. May miss first week or two but by time league games start he'll be up and going.

Having said that i won't go Adcock until he has proven something. Brisbane players have a tendency of preforming 1 year then go MIA.

adcock or jay nash. nash averaged 70 last year and looked good. had a good 1st up game in the nab cup and should improve this year to maybe average 80.adcock had an average season last year and an average game last week so im leaning towards nash but unsure

Drummond, Malcheski, Knights, Rievolt

Tough call i recon.....
