are the umpires (or AFL people) ever going to do anything to stop it? i am a freo fan, but i'm not here to moan and groan about port cheating us off a victory, they won fair and square, but the free kicks they got sometimes were ridiculous.
now i'm drawing from last night's game, but it happens everywhere..... people throw their heads back to pretend some guys grabbed them there. if the umpire doesnt spot the fake, its a free kick, but if he does spot the fake, play on. how does that work? most of the time he's gonna get an unfair free kick, so why not give a kick against him when you spot him? at least that'd sort some people out.
and ducking into tackles. if you put your head over your body while someone's charging at you, your head will get touched. i believe jason akermanis was sensationally given a free against him for ducking into tackles too much, so why doesnt it apply to other people? in the west coast game and the freo game yesterday people put there yead straight down into an oncoming tackler, and got a free kick for it. no attempt to get around them.
come on AFL.... they're called free kicks for a reason, and its nothing to do with how the people get them.
