I spoke to a manager of EB Brisbane today and said that I was guaranteed one on launch date, so I ordered one.

I'd ask a double check on that one and be prepared to take him to the cleaners if he has said that and doesn't deliver.

Well that's the thing if he promised/guaranteed something he doesn't actually know he'll be able to deliver at this point. That is poor or misguided on his behalf. Especially considering it was the manager who said this, he is directly responsible for the store's rep.

The issue is securing stock, the way everything is looking PS4 (and probably the ONE as well) are going to sell out everywhere. Now Australia isn't being treated like a third world gaming nation and we are getting the console at the same time as everywhere else. But I really doubt that we get much if any extra stock on the account of other bigger markets being more needy.

And as good as EB's relationship with Sony is I doubt they have half the swing that the likes of Gamestop do.

And as good as EB's relationship with Sony is I doubt they have half the swing that the likes of Gamestop do.

You'd be surprised. Our market share is big enough to warrant a fair bit of attention

Plus we're owned by GameStop, so they'd want to look after us in this market to now effect other markets

But yeah, the manager was a bit silly using the words he did no doubt

It's expected to yes. There is a set aside day at Gamescon for media so it's likely it would occur on that date.

Yep will be bigger than e3 with the vita getting a price cut new games announced, ps4 will see some of the exclusive titles Sony teased during e3. Exciting lead u to the launch thats for sure.

Same here. Told me also that PS4 are out pre-ordering the Xbox 10-1 at her workplace.

In this one Cerny pours cold water on the clouds ability to improve graphics (something a certain competitor has been touting). More inclined to believe this guy than marketing spin.

I believe the guy that knows his shit.

The cloud is on PS4 and he is saying what it can and can't do. XBOX ONE's cloud isn't some different system. If PS4 could do it, it would, but he's saying that's not the way you want to be going with graphics.

He could've said "yeah PS4 can become 10 times more powerful with the cloud" and pumped it up to be something it's not, instead, he told the truth.
