Imagine the infinite combos of this stat you could do.

On a related note, John Tyler, tenth US President from 1841 to 1845, has a currently living grandson.

The Easter Rounds and Anzac Day Rounds are important to the AFL and the NRL, with higher attendances at most matches over these weekends.

With the date of Easter obviously shifting from year to year, the Easter and Anzac rounds will have a varying distance between them and can sometimes be weeks apart - five weeks in the case of 2008 thanks to an early Easter that year - a week apart when there is a late Easter like this year and in 2019, and in 2000 Anzac Day fell on the Tuesday immediately following the Easter long weekend, so the Easter games and the Anzac games were played in the same round.

The year 2038 however will be extraordinary, as that year Easter Sunday will be on April 25th, the latest possible date for Easter to fall. When was the last time Easter Sunday and Anzac Day fell on the same day? Don't feel embarrassed if you don't know the answer, it was all the way back in 1943. And given that sports were either playing shortened seasons or were in hiatus due to World War 2 and there was no sport on a Sunday anyway in those days, it did not affect the football.

This raises a question, will we get two public holidays in Lieu or just the one? Has that ever happened before?

WA observes a public holiday on Monday if Anzac Day is on the weekend.

  • When New Year’s Day, Anzac Day, or Christmas Day falls on a Saturday or Sunday the next following Monday is also a public holiday.

what are the three extra? melb cup, grand final eve, and ?

If you look at the public holiday lists for this year, WA has 11 with Vic having 13. They share the same basic 10, though for WA they observe Labour Day the first Monday in March & it's the second Monday in Vic

The different holidays are:
WA - Western Australia Day, first Monday in June
Vic - Easter Saturday, Pre-GF Friday and Melbourne Cup

But if you look at how many week day public holidays that transfers to; WA have 10 & Vic have 11, so no major difference

Next year it'll be 10 weekday public holiday days for each state as WA will have an additional day for ANZAC Day as it falls on the Saturday, but we won't do that in Vic

Yes we do. If it falls on the Sunday we get Monday off

Not in Victoria we don't.

"ANZAC Day is commemorated on the day it falls. There is no replacement holiday when ANZAC Day falls on a weekend.'

Edit: Quivorir beat me to it.

Oh really, I swore we did (at least in WA? But maybe I'm wrong) WA has about 3 less public holidays than Victoria so we bloody well need the day off if it falls on a Weekend.

It seems you do in WA. I stand corrected. As we don't get one here in Vic I assumed, with it being commemorated nationally on the 25th, that all states would be the same.

I wait with anticipation to see what happens over there in 2038!!!

So why when it fell on a Sunday however long ago we got the Monday off
My school would have no doubt just done a pupil free day. Possible you did that?
