I think Wood will come in so Fraser can "rest" in deep forward and he and Bryan can take over ruck duties.

Fraser is very unfit out there. If we weren't losing Cloke I'd rest him anyway. It's very easy to say this now, and without any medical knowledge but it would have been better to have given him more time to rest and not come back so early from his hall of fame match injury.

I wouldn't be surprised if Davis was rested also, unless they think another week can't hurt being so close to the break.

Fraser must be dropped to make a statement.

Wellingham looks tired, should be rested.

Really coming off the carlton loss we have a few players who clearly are injured.
They are Fraser,Pendlebury,Davis,Cloke is (suspended).
So what do we do?Its not worth playing injured players. It costs you in the long run.So should we rest these guys. The upside is that by resting them ,they actually get 2 weeks off and a chance to regain them refreshed for the Sydney game, and Rocca may be back by then too.
However what do the pies want to do against the bulldogs?
If we want to really win the game then fraser plays up forward, bring in Wood to help ruck with Bryan. But then we will be playing players again who are not 100%.
Seconfd option is try some of the kids.Rest our regulars and bring in John Anthony,Wood,Dawes,Iles and or Stanley and see how they go.
Danger here is that,we could get smashed with the kids playing OR this may inspire the rest to win.

Donot expect to see Rocca in for awhile. He is cleraly injured so the club are nursing him through would much rather see him back before finals, but the way we are playing we may not even make finals, two or three more losses and we are out of the eight.
Rocca will be nursed through like Buckley was ,his injuries etc and age are slow indications that his career is not far off ending.Especially becuase he constantly gets injured. There is a slight chance that he may come back for the Swans depends on how he is progressing.Although an important part to our structure we have to face facts that Rocca is not the same player he used to be,and the sooner we can start playing Dawes,Reid with Travis in the forward line the better,Rusling will be a bonus and so will rocca next year.He will end up being a peripheral forward at best from next year.

I hate it when he doesn't play - there's a great emptiness in the forward line where he should be. But if his ankle's not 100% then it's better to give him another couple of weeks.

If MM brings in Wood, Fraser can do something up front - always assuming he's fit.

I still can't believe Didak didn't score on Sunday.:(

why would collingwood play 3 rucks??????

its bad enough having josh fraser running around.

we need all the midfielders we can get!!!!!!!

we need the talls up fwd thats why they would play 3 rucks all our ruckmen are good in the fwd line.

Whats wrong with Pendlebury & Davis??

pendlebury missed a week against the dees with back soreness.

davis i forget what game he injured his leg? i think it was, he came back on the field, but hasnt looked 100 percent in the games he has played since

I would like to see Cameron Wood in the team - we used our pick 14 on him and he is only 21 and supposed to be our ruckman for the next 10 years.

I would love to see us play with an open forward line this week isolating 2-3 players one-on-one in our fifty and have the other forwards starting a bit further up the ground closer to the edge of the square or wing area.

Due to our lack of tall forwards this week (unless Rocca is back which is doubtful) Maybe have Medhurst, Davis & Thomas/Didak inside the fifty.
All these players are strong marks and great around goals - just an idea.

I kinda like the idea of playing our 3 ruckman with rotating Fraser and Bryan in the forward line leaving a target at CHF but i would not want to be too top heavy.

Iles is another possibility to be included - really like the way he plays and has been in the best alot in the VFL team.

I voted Anthony, but really should have voted for both Anthony and Wood, as Fraser is clearly unfit.

I would suspect they'll hold Rocca out until after the week off for the split round, but who knows?

Whats wrong with Pendlebury & Davis??

As said already above Pendlebury is back related and from where I was sitting on Sunday Davis's ankle is a real worry, he was noticeably limping or favouring his foot/ankle. He was near us a couple of times heading towards the bench and didn't look good each time.
