Just checked with membership & they said I could use my AO card to get in on Sunday
I know I’m showing my age but Sunday will be a blast from the past - Senior colts as the curtain raiser & then the A’s. Only one thing missing and that will be the pies & pasty’s being sold at half time at the northern end of the oval. They should let people in just for turning up.

Should be a good day, the players of the future followed by us giving the old enemy a touch up!
You’ve just described my reaction when I go to the Adelaide Oval for a Port game - if I last to half time it will be a miracle ! Although Alberton has changed visually over the last couple of years I still love going there. And it will even get better for me when I can eventually watch a game at Alberton from the bowling green pocketI seriously want to go, but every time I go to a sanfl game these days they're so crap, after 10 minutes I ask myself Why am I here?
Then throw in cold and wet ...

Go the Magpies!
**** that, I'd want them to pay me at least $50.They should let people in just for turning up.
The kids when we went to the football would always ask, "will the pasty man be there?" Continued into adulthood when they would venture out at half time and come back with a bagful! How good were the home made pies and pasties they would sell outside the ground at 1/2 time all those years ago.
Cheap as too.
An absolute balls up that one. Just another decision where they've managed to suck the soul out of the place...I do miss my usual spot on the Williams Stand side, so hard to watch from there now with the giant interchange boxes

Last year there was still $2 pasties outside after the game (northern goals end). Young couple sell them out the back of their car. Not sure if they're related to the old crew, but they are not bad...How good were the home made pies and pasties they would sell outside the ground at 1/2 time all those years ago.

Yes. All season tickets include Magpie home games.Do Power season ticket holders still get free entry at Alberton?
If it is not belting down with rain I will head down for a look.
Wow almost forgot about that, used to be very tasty. How good were the home made pies and pasties they would sell outside the ground at 1/2 time all those years ago.

Wonder who made them? Definitely not Balfours.
Didn’t they used to sell them also after the match had finished?
I’m sure I used to get on the way out.
You need counselling after watching the SANFL side go round they are absolutely dreadful. They should let people in just for turning up.
Maybe if you turn the volume upCan I hear this game on any radio stations ?

Yes ADS 7 used to do it and you’d never guess who the 14 year old kid with a black felt board and white plastic letters and numbers was who did that job.Local footy on the radio, I remember those days.
I even remember when the networks would superimpose quarter by quarter scores at the bottom of the screen during the black and white Saturday afternoon movie. Brought to you by Amscol footy ice cream!

Last year I could stream on the AFL app, this year not even on radio. Guess I’ll be monitoring this thread.
