This is a team that got to a prelim last year. They aren't just struggling, they're spoon contenders. Goodwin's job in nearly untenable.

They have a shit load of ball winning talent, but are seemingly devoid of structure. They get completely lost in space and have no idea how to spread and remain accountable on the defensive side. Their defence is terrible and they literally have no forward line.

They are very Western Bulldogs post 2016-esque

It's their own undoing. It's almost cringe to watch and listen about.
The way Gawn got 'treated' and the outcry in the media against us. The apparent rumors of McCartney being too hard on players in the pre season. The stupid ****ing soft ass banner they ran through about the 'ohh mean tweets and social media'. Tough guys, Viney? Jones? You're having a ****ing laugh.
It's breeding a soft, no heart, pathetic atmosphere.

I don't know about you guys but I'd wind up the Dees before I got rid of Norff.

They get a free pass, not to mention effectively got a couple of million via the AFL paying Roos, because ‘oldest club and called Melbourne’.

Saints need to keep doing well to get money in as they have lots of debt and no historical significance. North are similar, but their success within the last 30 years means they have plenty of ex-Roos around to push their case.

Personally if I was running they AFL I’d offer $5 mil a year for 10 years, over any normal grants, to whichever was willing to relocate to Tasmania. And not give any extra support (even bank guarantees) to the others until 2 go under. 16 teams and three less in Victoria. So much win-win for quality of lists (and hence games), fixturing and being the AFL instead of VFL. Gil the gutless wouldn’t ever stand up to Eddie and co. and let one of their little club lapdogs go under and dilute their voting power though.

His draft highlights basically showed a less explosive Impey. I was pretty happy for us to pass on him.

Obviously he has Impey covered for smarts and skill, like everyone else does. Hopefully he makes it. Good to watch.
