Only OG Clurey fans will know this spicy fact!He hasnt had that tooth for years
Good on you ... your English is always excellent.I thought that one should say: "the Giants are;" but "GWS is."
I also write "award" (and I have absolutely no clue whether the quote mark should come before or after a punctuation).

Chiwigi mentioned in the EF tickets thread the strange names we have for finals in the AFL which brought to mind this proposal of Rucci's to get rid of the pre-finals bye and replace it with a "Wildcard" round.
"The answer, that also delivers more currency from the AFL broadcasters to the game, is to introduce the “wildcard” weekend. This has the top-six teams granted a much-earned weekend off. Teams ranked from seventh to 10th compete for wildcard entries to September, 7 v 10 and 8 v 9."
So what this does is make it a final 10 where 7 - 10 play an elimination final the week before the Elimination Finals and only the teams that finish 6th and above get a pre-finals bye. This makes it much harder for the teams that finish in the bottom 4 of the final 10 to win through to a Grand Final. Rucci's wildcard round is just another round of elimination finals.
Or would it be Qualifying Elimination Final?Preliminary Elimination Final if you will
I know you're working your way up to this so let's just go straight there. Forget them playing footy, now they participate in the Hunger Games.I love finals and would consider any option to extend them. Even a round robin where top and bottom four play each other for qualifying/elimination ....
Someone was high.He was in high demand I would imagine.
Seems the era of sticking fat I kinda miss the lop off the coaches head days.
The Crows will obliterate GWS.
GWS were pretty ordinary against Geelong last weak in a game you would have thought they would have been very keen to win. I can't see them getting close on that effort.Wrong.
GWS are most likely to win.
- Been a long time since GWS played Crows.
- Crows won last time largely due to round 1 factor and the disinterest of GWS due to the heat.
- GWS pick and choose when they want to play well and defend etc. They will choose to go hard on Thursday due to the time of year.
- Their players got a taste last year and have already mentioned this in the media, meaning hey are thinking about it and are looking to go better.
- Crows already think they have won the flag subconsciously. The state has ensured that this is the case.
Hah! I had the same idea.Chiwigi mentioned in the EF tickets thread the strange names we have for finals in the AFL which brought to mind this proposal of Rucci's to get rid of the pre-finals bye and replace it with a "Wildcard" round.

If the broadcasters want more finals instead of bringing in more teams add the following -
Week 2 - losers of Elimination finals to see whose 7th and 8th
Week 3 - losers of Semis for whose 5th and 6th
Curtain raiser of GF have losers of prelims for 3rd and 4th.
To encourage clubs then make the draft order each round
18 .... 10, 9, 7, 8, 5, 6, 3, 4, 2, 1
And players to get match fees (outside cap for the games). With also some smaller prize money for the competing clubs (always nice for the balance sheet).
Fun fact this entire post is made up of 7 wordsHere's an idea:
Play a 23 round H&A season.
The teams are ranked based on the number of wins and scoring percentage.
The team ranked 1st receives a minor accolade in the form of a trophy.
The 8 top teams are eligible to play in the Finals Series.
(A bye week is possible between H&A and Finals Series but not necessary)
5th plays 8th and 6th plays 7th in Elimination Finals
1st plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd in Qualifying Finals
The winners of the two Elimination Finals play the losers of the two Qualifying Finals in two Semi Finals.
The winners of the Qualifying Finals each go through to Preliminary Finals, with their opponents being the winners of the Semi Finals.
The winners of the Preliminary Finals play off against each other in a Grand Final.
The winner of the Grand Final is proclaimed the Premier Club for that year and given a Premiership Trophy.
It's radical, I know, but I have a hunch it might just work.
