The winners so far are pretty much as expected with the exception of Adelaide on Friday. But the margins in the Richmond, North and West Coast games are probably more than most people thought they would be. Carlton have looked OK at times such as early on against Richmond and the last half against Collingwood but they are really getting "sliced up a treat" here.
Gold Coast can't have expected a win at Optus but after they got 3 goals to close the gap to 2 points they wouldn't have expected they'd be 54 points down at half time

Shirts are OK, but it would be better if a team were wearing light shorts and socks, indeed.

Or the home team can wear whatever they like, and the visitors if necessary, find a contrasting top, shorts, and socks, from their choices?

Just thinking it's a wonderful advertisement for sport. Basketball, Rugby ( both codes) Baseball, Ice Hockey, Gridiron. AFL not so much. You want to sell this game overseas we have to do something about lack of depth at the top end.

No we don't. There should always be dominant teams and shit teams in any era. The trick is to rotate it around with reasonable equalisation methods. There's enough upsets still to keep it interesting but the 'any given Sunday' approach where everyone should be competitive every game bores me.

The NBA does the other way around, which is interesting. The visitors travel with only one kit, while the home team adjusts to it. It makes sense.

That makes zero sense to me. The home team should be able to whatever it likes on it's home deck in front of home crowd.

Someone fill this guy in on 2014...

It is easier for whoever has the entire wardrobe at its disposal to adjust for whatever the guest is wearing, don't you think?
