Ive changed my mind on Parker after watching the multiple replays...

He was going for the ball and at the very last split second Impey cleverly taps the ball out of Parkers hands.

I still reckon he will get a week, but it should be graded as...

Btw has any other team had a Frampton on their list for 4yrs whose never be given a go. Not even a sniff.

The only player careless in that contest was Impey.

Parker should be free to play next week.

Nah, Parker still chose to make contact with Impey within the contest and it still hit Impey high drawing blood.

The duty of care is still on Parker to not bump Impey high - even if he was to take possession of the ball and hit Impey the same way, he would still be in trouble.

Pulling Frampton out of the sanfl finals to have an operation so he could be ready for this season, and then refusing to pick him, has to at least suggest that Ken and co are just f*****g with us rusted on campaigners.

There is a point where impey looks up at Parker, Parker had nothing but eyes for the ball. In this instance impey physically touches the ball first. I wouldn't like to see Parker rubbed out for that at all. Chalk that up to a football incident.

Parker will get suspended though. Head over the ball + head high contact is a certainty to get weeks, particularly at that level of force. Unless you are Trent Cotchin.

Impey didn't cause that, they both did. Both were entitled to contest the football. I doubt either of them really even knew much about the position of each other as they were so tunnel visioned on the ball.

How is tapping the ball out of the path of your opposition player being a smart arse??

Surely stopping your opponent from taking possession of the contested ball so that you can get it is what football is all about...

All i see is two blokes going for the ball and Parker accidently gets Impey high. He wasn't even looking at Impey in that contest. I think it will be classed as careless though and he will get a week probably. I liked the sportsmanship from Parker too checking on Impey's well being.

Every single poster on here has been bagging Amon for not keeping his head over the ball in contests - If Jarman squibbed it out of that contest as you suggest he should do so that he doesnt get hurt, there would have been a new thread made about it!
