Yeah a second walked up to the mark and a tonne were very very close to it

Bizarre to be honest. I would be very very nervous if I saw port players lining up on a mark like that. I don’t care but it’s strange line. I reckon that gets paid anywhere else or the ref at least backs them off
Why?

The mark is about 30cm by 10cm. The only way you get 2 on the mark is if another player is on the shoulders of the guy with his two feet on the mark. That isnt allowed.

I dont know what the new 10m exclusion zone rule says exactly, but you only have to be 5cm behind the mark line for that 10m and you are behind the mark. Hawthorn players used to stand next to the guy on the mark and a free wasn't paid before the 10m exclusion zone was introduced last year.

Gerard Healy just going peak bonkers.

"If you've been down the bottom and haven't played finals for 3 or 4 years those teams should get extra picks, three in the first 30".

Eat all the shit, pal.

No-one gave five fairy flossed f**ks about our nadir in 2010-12.

The Gold Coast ANUS can take a long walk off a partially built jetty.

Triple M have sacked former Sydney captain Barry Hall for a comment he made during the pre-game show ahead of tonight’s Western Bulldogs vs. Geelong clash at Etihad Stadium.

After making the comment, Hall was told not to finish his shift, before being immediately removed from his position.

Triple M‘s Head of Content Mike Fitzpatrick made the following statement following the on-air gaff.

“Tonight on Triple M Football there were unacceptable and inappropriate comments made by a member of the commentary team,” the statement began.

“The commentator was removed immediately from the broadcast and an apology was issued on air afterwards.

“Immediate action was taken with the termination of employment for one team

Anyone know what he said ?

I think Harry Taylor had the first and last shot of the game and missed both.
And they were both pretty easy. The last one wasn't as easy as the first and with most of the Bullies on the mark and the kick to win the match any player would feel the extra pressure of the kick. But the first was a piece of p*** and not only did he miss it but it was an 11-point turnaround.

I knew the bulldogs had a lot of injuries but when Hanish rattled off the names i was shocked how many so I looked them up.

Bailey Dale Foot 2-3 weeks
Tory Dickson Hamstring 3 weeks
Tim English Foot 2-3 weeks
Tom Liberatore Knee Season
Jack Macrae Hamstring 2-3 weeks
Liam Picken Concussion Indefinite
Jack Redpath Knee 4-5 weeks
Clay Smith Knee 2-3 weeks
Matt Suckling Achilles Test
Lukas Webb Thumb 2-3 weeks
Easton Wood Hamstring 10 weeks

So that is 7 premiership players out plus Redpath and Suckling are important player. Add Lin Jong being out for more than 3/4 of the game where it was 21 v 22 and also a few other injuries in the first quarter but they got back on. So that's a gutsier win than I first gave them credit for, especially given their poor record against Geelong and the fact the cats only have 2 or 3 first XXII players missing.

They were talking about Montagna's wife going into labour and Hall tried to make a joke about the doctor sticking '2 fingers in and licking it after'
Heard someone on telly say it was shocking and I was trying to think what it could be. If that's what he said I'm not surprised they got rid of him. But as well as the comment itself, he was talking about his co-commentator's wife, you'd think even basic manners would make him mind his language. That's the kind of comment a schoolboy would be ashamed of, let alone a full-grown man.

Without becoming an apologist, the conversation should have been cut off as soon as it headed that way, instead of being encouraged by all.
I agree, there are certain things you don't talk about, certainly not with graphic explanations, and even before Barry Hall came in the conversation was treading a very fine line. Maybe not enough to terminate anyone's employment at that juncture, but I would hope everyone involved was given a talk on what's not to be discussed on air.

At least fox sacked him, unlike a certain radio station with Andrew Jarman!

But haven’t Adelaide had the worst year for injuries in all human history?

Montagna himself was the one that took it down that road to begin with. Hall overstepped the mark but gee, a few were along for the ride.
