Elliott Yeo drills that from 55 after the siren. We had Brett Ebert kicking it off his knee.

West Coast have their assistants working feverishly to concoct an action plan to 1) win 2) lose with dignity. We had Phil Walsh telling Mark Williams to tattoo "DON'T SPIT FIRST" around the anus of 137 years of history.

Suddenly we may have a game on our hands. But I'd say 1/2 time came at a good time for the Hawks - they'll come out breathing fire in the third. The Eagles need to absorb that pressure and continue the comeback, or it'll be a boring 4th quarter.

Oh boy, If Hawthorn actually managed to lose this..

It would be the most epic choke of all time.
I'm not sure what i wan't now, Hawks to obliterate West Coast in the 2nd half, or the ultimate Hawthorn choke.

Only 1 less shot and 31 points down doesn't really tell the story. To add to that there were two occasions, Shuey trying to kick a goal when he could have handballed to Cripps in the square( and he saw him but ignored him) and Hurn's miss from a relatively easy shot. Both of these Hawthorn ran it down and scored a goal from the kick out. And Darling's inexplicable kick across goal that led to another goal. Take away the two 11 point turnarounds and the 6 points from the Darling brainsnap and you have a 3-point game. But if is the biggest word in any sport. Hopefully the Eagles will pick up a few goals in the third quarter and we will have a game in the last quarter. Or it's "Gone With The Wind" on GEM for me.

I'm enjoying the Eagles getting smashed into next week. Who gives a **** about how much it's by?

Little known fact - the two biggest margins in VFL/AFL grand finals are well you know and 96 points by Hawthorn over Melbourne in 1988 and I was at both of those games. Now I might not be the only person in Australia that was at both of those games but for a fighting chance to break the hoodoo I should be there. So we better hope for a Port grand final while I'm still around and then hope for the right result!

Imagine if the Eagles win the second half by 31 points.....

Random thoughts. ..

Why does Ling bang on about Hawthorn fading late because travel? Last time I looked, it was the same distance from Perth to Melbourne as it is between Perth and ..Melbourne?

Ads after every goal are damn annoying.

Hurn had to kick his set shot. 11 point turnaround and no leadership.

Eagles were expecting Hawks to go the knuckle early. Hawthorn played football.

Nah, I was at both of those. Remembered the 88 game margin, all it did was make me feel more depressed sitting there in the last 1/4 in 07.

So we both have to be there. :D
