Also, they have some good defenders yes, but it's also a bad part of their game too. Keane will be exposed against top 8 especially top 4 in finals because they'll get under his skin and I'm always surprised how he gets away with all the crap he does behind the play and when the balls coming into their defence. He holds and blocks every game rarely gets pinged. But teams like Geelong will break him.

I think umpires are finally starting to work out that Keane never actually goes for the aerial ball. Every contest is a block.

Since their loss to Port at Alberton:

• Lost to Sturt by 124
• Lost to Crows by 100
• Lost to bottom-side West at home
• Lost to Norwood by 131

All in consecutive weeks.

They have gone right off the boil. Not sure how many of these are first choice players.... but that injury list looks like a hospital ward.

They're a relative minnow in the wider context and yet they still have us covered on any H2H measure you could think of - premierships, grand finals, Showdown count, member/supporter/attendance numbers, even AFLW where they've been highly successful whilst we scrapped our way to being the last dog at the bowl.

They suck but we suck even more which says a lot.

They've literally been given the biggest leg up ever, been handed the best of the state crop in both afl and aflw. The other actual established club has had to work, build and earn its way up the pecking order from a much smaller league to a bigger league.

Blood, grit and tears. That little battler club from Alberton, yeah that's what Port were in the initial days in a much bigger pond of the AFL than in the SANFL. Longer term vision to dominate the nation not just the state. This club is getting there and will stay there.
