We all know finals are a different kettle of fish, the crows are a chance of making the granny but so are 5 other sides in my opinion a coll v bris gf would be favoured but i would be happy to see the Giants finally snatch one after being around the mark for a while they are hitting form and looking better every week since we beat them after the bye and Adam has had a couple of finals series under his belt and will be well prepared this time. Go Team Orange

They haven't won a flag for nearly 30 years at some point they will, both SA clubs have been underachieving shit trucks tbh and the Crows flags came in the Bradbury-McIntyre finals system era. Piss Poor for a footy heartland.

They're a relative minnow in the wider context and yet they still have us covered on any H2H measure you could think of - premierships, grand finals, Showdown count, member/supporter/attendance numbers, even AFLW where they've been highly successful whilst we scrapped our way to being the last dog at the bowl.

They suck but we suck even more which says a lot.

Even though we’ve performed way below expectations, need some context here.

7 year head start.

Interviewing Fogarty and Walker pre-game, Ricciuto asks Fogarty what he thinks of the "three-headed monster" moniker and if he has any alternative suggestions.

Fogarty passes the question off to Walker, saying that he is the deep thinker of the trio.

That was good for a chuckle.
😂😂😂😂

Temu West Coast while we are in the perpetual at least we've won one flag Freo haven't! phase.

Just how did the Crows become this good?

Their list isn't that good.

Are Nicks and Burgo just miracle workers?
They did have a very soft fixture, which I suppose is fair enough given their bottom 4 finish last year. They also get home town umpiring we can only dream of.

In my opinion too, they take their reserves seriously, so there is more competition for spots. Sure, the thin injury list helps, but as much as I hate to say it, they're just more professional than us this year.

When your 18 rounds in and basically ya top 12-15 players haven’t missed a game certainly helps.

Take Dawson and Rankine out and they aren’t bang ordinary.

Any injury they get is to a spud.. Eg Mitch hinge..

Flat track bullies. Apart from today's win vs a top 9 side, belt the cellar dwellars.

Fair effort by a delisted player - Essendon would love to reverse that decision. Good country lad from Wagga who did his last couple of year boarding at a private high school in Melbourne, and played for Oakleigh. Was in GWS's academy.

Adelaide are putting themselves in the hunt but I don't think they have the class to win a flag. Their midfield and defence is workmanlike but I believe will be shown up in September under finals pressure.

It absolutely is worth panicking for SA residents if they win a flag, unless you work from home and have no interaction with the outside world I guess. They're already insufferable and they haven't won anything yet.

They do have a solid list they've accumulated over the years of having to draft from the bottom end. Tex whilst being Tex, still is someone who can be great for forwards coming through, hence Fog and Thilly who they are lucky to have as a beast. In all honesty, if Port had a forward line of Georgiades, Lukosius and Marshall all season plus and healthy list all the way from the start they'd be up there with them. But having a beast in their forward line helps. Just like Darcy does for the dogs.

Also, they have some good defenders yes, but it's also a bad part of their game too. Keane will be exposed against top 8 especially top 4 in finals because they'll get under his skin and I'm always surprised how he gets away with all the crap he does behind the play and when the balls coming into their defence. He holds and blocks every game rarely gets pinged. But teams like Geelong will break him.

The Crows have taken a different tack to Port. Port have virtually been bystanders in a couple of Drafts over the last five years and unless we had instant results via our trading that was always going to bite us in the arse which is what has happened. We have picked up some good players in trades but they have not worked out and we have paid the price by not having enough youthful talent on our list.

The Crows have taken four top 10 draft picks since 2020 and they are workingout. Add to that Dawson and Rankin and their list has been slowly building.

Obviously the Crows list is a lot better than some of us would like to admit.

The pain may get worse for us as the Cows are a good chance to jag the Minor Premiership. I have looked at the draw for the remainder of minor round and they should win 3 of the last 5 and are good chance of beating Hawthorn in Adelaide. The Minor Premiership may get down to Adelaide v Collingwood at Adelaide Oval inb Round 23.

The big test for Nicks and the Cows will be whether they can go all the way or, if like his mantor Hinkley, Nicks cannot win finals. I sure hope it is the latter.
