The free cause they didn’t 6 6 6 properly is one thing, but how in the ensuring minute before saints took the free did no melb players match up or get back into d50? Was wide open.

Is bad enough to think they didn’t match up when they had an eternity before saints took the free kick… but why on earth did no melb players get back into defense? Did they think there might be a chance they get a turnover and rebound in 2 secs of football?

Bizarre. If anyone saw an under 16s team do that they would question if they had a brain cell between them. To come from professionals is astounding.

I think they needed to setup the 4 in the middle but everyone else jetted into deep 50 when any shot within the 50 would of done it. They just had to play man on man and instead everyone ran into Saints 30m from goal like headless chickens

As I understand the rule, you only need to be in the centre square for 6-6-6. Couldn’t believe Melbourne’s midfield, with so long to think about it, were standing around the centre circle rather than exactly where Nas is in your screenshot.

It’s actually amazing that Melbourne team won a flag.
