Can't see Haddrill coming in, no potential match up for him, makes sense for him to play at Perth. Thronton hasn't played all pre-season would be risky taking him to Tasmania. Hayden is a possibility pending his game time & form this week v's Port (of course that's if he gets a game).

Cook - on the outer & form hasn't warranted selection
Dodd - 1st emergency, was either Dodd or Gilmore for mine
Johnson - Can't see room for him & Murphy with Hawthorn's forwards predominantly small, either Johnson or Polak for mine
Schofield - don't make me laugh

I'd play Duffield as Grover is suspended, I'm guessing the club can swing him on to the list at someone expense...(maybe Haines on long term injury list?..even though he should be right in 2-3 weeks)?

They need someone who is fast enough to play on Williams. My betting is that if Thornton is close they would go with him because he has the speed and height to combat him well. I think if the pre-season proved anything, Parker isn't going to be able to go with fast forwards. Franklin also has lightning speed, so that might be a bit of a problem.

Despite CC saying he Polak will play forward this year, I can't see them picking Murphy over Polak for CHB, even if he is only 80%. I reckon they might rush Haddrill back as well. Dodd to get a game before Gilmore too.

And I don't think that they can elevate Duffield as easy as that either....

Schammer wasn't great last week, and did have a bit of a skills problem. Particularly quick disposal under pressure. Trying to turn him into a defender is going to be an interesting challenge. Will all be good for his ongoing development.
