This comes up almost every day.

He said it was his "least favorite holiday destination" which is a very fair comment. Great place to live though. Especially when you're earning massive dollars with 50k fans cheering you on every week, no peptides, no arrogant douchebag coaches, no paul little, no hird animated gifs on your teams forum etc.

Tom Mitchell still not getting a go again at AFL level this year despite killin' it for several seasons in Sydney's 2's...would be best 22 at most clubs IMO, surely he'd be up for a move??

Solid Dee's defender Colin Garland a RFA at the end of the year...any interest??

Turned down offers last year if I remember right. Is heavily featured in Sydneys future plans so would be very expensive in a trade. Also he is an awful awful kick.

Dylan Shiel, Adam Treloar & Stephen Coniglio are all out of contract this year at GWS, having yet to commit after many others have. I wonder if they'll lose one (Treloar is reported to be the most likely)

Yes please to any of them. Treloar especially.

Glorified jarryd lyons. Also a shocking 2 way runner, one of the reasons he can't get a game.

Would not meet Walshy's expectations at all. Pass

Carlton were after him hard was the word (Tom's Dad Barry Mitchell ended his career at the Blues for a few years), but turned them down as he wanted to break into the 22 and not just go off somewhere to get what he wanted. Sounds very similar to the attitude Jarryd Lyons had when considering Melbourne's offers to him over the past couple of seasons.

And apparently fell off of their collective chairs when they found out he was already supposedly on $450k a year.

Did schoenmakers only sign on for 1 year with the hawks last year? If he doesn't get a crack with frawley out surely he'd realise his cards been stamped at the hawks.

I think you are at least 3 awfuls short when describing his kick

You three are very harsh on Tom Mitchell. Will turn out to be a very very good footballer.

Don't think that there is anything wrong with his kicking. Not a strength of his, but not the liability either. Think it has a lot more to do with the fact that he has to play in the NEAFL every week which would be a massive disadvantage. Has only played 20 games, but once he gets comfortable with the speed and gets quicker with his decision making will be a very good player.

Azza - disagree with him not being a 2 way runner. I remember his 2nd career game against us in 2013. 31 touches, 10 tackles, 5 inside 50's and 3 rebound 50's. Was everywhere that day. Think he is just struggling to make it into that awesome Sydney Swan team

I get the feeling he may have been fine sitting at Box Hill for another year waiting for Brian Lake to retire.

Would Kerridge and a second get Gibbs?

First priorities for us have to be key power forward and big key defender. If we can even land one of these itl be a huge boost for our club.

Plus 190 odd multi position players

First year player in Heeney has already leapfrogged him in the peaking order. We all know Mitchell has no issue finding the ball which suggests it's his 2 way running that does let him down. When they've got the hard body extractors that they've got which Mitchell can't get ahead of, he then needs to become someone who is very sound defensively as well which is probably what's letting him down at this point.

Are there any under the radar key defenders that we could nab? And back our coaches to turn them into a solid player?
Seb Tape? Michael Talia? Aiden Corr?
Haven't seen much of any of these, I'll admit

I mentioned Michael 100s of times throughout and before last years trade period. I still think he'd be an amazing asset for our club and team, playing along side his brother I assume would only enhance his game as he'd wanna be better than Daniel.

Then we'd have great stocks for key defenders.
1st - D.Talia
2nd - M.Talia-K.Hartigan
4th - K.Cheney
5th - J.Lever

No chance ever again - Otten and Shaw

Realistically if Talia or Haritgan were to unfortunately go down this year we probably have Ramsey as our first back up then Lever? They'll both be great players but not just yet, that's why adding another key like Michael would relieve a lot of pressure if injuries were to occur. Just need that depth that'll improve our list from 5-10 to 1-4.

Thinking the same thing, word is pretty strong at present that Carlton are going to re develop their list

If this were true (not saying it's not) then why would we wanna give them Kerridge plus a pick? Kerridge should be a leader of the club within the next couple years and not to mention he can win games off his own boot and we need a long term tagger now that VB is done in that role it appears.

Yeah I know his name has been brought up since before he was drafted.
I'm not confident that Siggins will come along, and the holes in our defence can't be plugged immediately with drafting alone. Even a more senior type would be handy. Our list profile can handle a veteran

Just watched the replay from last weeks pies game.

Jenkins to be traded for whatever we can get. Weaker than soft cheese, my dead cat goes harder at the ball than him.

Play on, just needed to vent.

Wouldn't trade Kerridge just yet, has shown he could have a lot for us to work with, one of those versatile types that Walshy will love.

If he can play a solid 15 games this year say, and 20+ next year he should be coming into his best years from 2017 onwards, perfect timing.
